Some fans including myself fell too hard into the "homer" category in the offseason due to miraculous run last year, whether as Derek alluded we got the bounces and also a weaker schedule but digging deeper into should've realized this turn around should not and will not be quick. AP gutted the roster, as it should be, we did not have close to a playoff caliber roster after the end of 23. Did we really have a playoff roster in 24? It appears so as we went deep in the playoffs but crazy things happen once in the post season. We overturned more roster spots this off season and then we got hit but the injury bus. Then after it hit us it went in reversed, backed over us, went forward again and repeated this 8x. None of this precludes a sustainable winning season, however culturally we can maintain building towards greatness. The knee jerk reactions of fire this, fire that, player a sucks turds, player b sucks the whole toilet is the hyperbole we expect from a franchise that's gotten used to seasons not going our way. Knee jerk reactions in my experience in life in general produce mental satisfaction but not results. It's going to be a journey, I think many of us wanted to have the rose colored glasses that respectability was already in the bag even though we had an extremely small sample size to justify it. Great pod as usual but the funny of the day goes to Neo "Bob would you like to predict the score of Sundays game" "Noooooo" in the perfect tone had me laughing on the drive into work.
