In trying to resolve some issues that have cropped up, I updated our BGO App to the most current version. For me, this resulted in my having to reinstall the app on my iPhone. Here are the original BGO App install instructions in case you have to do the same. If you have never used the BGO App, I highly recommend it - you'll get notifications on your phone of new posts, messages, etc... and you'll always be one click away from the site.
Setting up the BGO App and Using Push Notifications:
I am going to walk you through the steps for Apple/iPhone users (I will address other brands at the end) - screen caps to follow:
4. Scroll down until you see 'Add to Home Screen'. Select that option. This will place the 'BGO' app icon to your phone's Home Screen. Exit Safari and drag the BGO app icon to your first screen as you know you are going to be using that sucker constantly.

5. From your phone's home screen, open up your new 'BGO' app by clicking on the new BGO icon. Log-in if you aren't already logged in.
6. Click on your avatar (the small circle image).

7. Select 'Preferences'
7. Scroll down and find the 'Enable push notifications' option. Select it.
8. Below the button that now says 'Disable push notifications', you will see the option to receive a push notification when a new conversation (private message) is received. You will also have the ability to receive push notifications for almost any site activity, or just for a few - whatever your preference is. These can be edited for your individual account at any time.
A couple of things to remember:
Feel free to post questions or troubleshooting requests in this thread. I can't promise I'll solve every possible issue, but we will try. Both the app and push notifications are working great for iPhone users. We hope these two new options make your BGO experience even better.

- The BGO App is set up through the Safari browser on your phone or portable device.
- Open Safari and navigate to BGObsession.
- Once the site is open, at the bottom of the browser window, click on the 'share' button.

- This is optional and available for all Registered Members.
- You can only set up the app and push notifications by following the above steps using the Safari browser.
- Once set up as above, you can access the site via the new BGO app icon from your home screen, but you can also continue accessing from Chrome, Opera, or any other browser of your choosing. It is only push notifications that must be enabled/disabled/adjusted via the BGO app icon.
- Push notifications can be turned off, limited to a few activities, or 100% enabled - whatever your preference.
- Push notifications are DEVICE-SPECIFIC, so if you access the site via your iPhone and an iPad, you will have to enable push notifications on each device separately.
- If you have an iPad, we believe you can follow the above steps to set up the app and enable push notifications.
- If you have an Android or other device, you may get a 'pop-up' asking if you want to install the app when you navigate to BGO, or you can expand the BGO Menu in the top left corner and look for an 'Install the App' option.
- Push notifications will also work on your desktop pc or laptop if you have them enabled in your 'Settings' menu.
