Anybody a "1099 er" self employed / independent contractor... question

I might be taking on a job as a 1099 at a shop that is up and coming, and will have to self insure. I'll need a normal health policy, and workmen's comp. Anybody doing this, and if so, who do you use for the policies ?

I would have put this in the Oracle forum, but that seems to get overlooked often.
