Anyone who was a member of ES years ago would remember when Dave's daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Me, being a Duke fan, took it from him in fun because he was in Raleigh and an NCSU fan. He was a prankster.
But Duke University saved his daughter, I think she was there for almost a year.
"Abby's Army" was Chris Thompson's "My Cause, My Cleats" for years. I know a jersey chick, and she found a throwback Doug Williams jersey that I bought and sent to Dave to auction for the cause.
I'd like to keep it going here on BGO. Let's fight childhood cancer on the local level.
