Knowing us, we'll probably get 7 wins to finish the season just to avoid the lottery.

Where do say we find these 5 exclusive wins CP?

We have GB , TB ,Sea, Den, Car, LV, Dal, Phi, Dal, Phi, NYG

I see a W maybe against Sea, Phi (once), NYG

Seattle
Carolina
Raiders
Iggles
Gnats

Carolina will depend a ton on if McCaffrey is back, if he's still not playing that could be close, LV could implode so I could see that as another possibility.

Powerball THEN the super bowl!!

So you don't watch games but surmise the Oline is bad.

You'd fit right in at ESPN....
this is why people should read think and then post. I said I haven't watched a full game and am hardly watching any football this year, not that I havent watched any. apparently you dont read but comment so you would fit right in on the internet.

the simple truth is that this team is just bad. the coaching is not good, the culture is poor, we start to build something and then instead of playing to its strength, we "do what works" only it doesnt work. Rivera says all the right things but just isnt the coach we need. we need someone who can not only motivate , but scheme.

The Oline is ranked towards the top half of the league. You say they need to build a good one.

They are building a good one, you just don't know.

I think Taylor contributes to helping the Oline a bit since he has a little mobility and doesn't take too long in getting the ball out.

Slow down with the insults.

I'm not sure how anyone who isn't behind the scenes can say 'the culture is poor'? I don't see players giving up, or not giving effort, even when we are far behind. We have a lot of work to do both in terms of talent and getting the guys we have playing good football. It’s early.

And yeah, let’s not get personal. Keep it friendly please.

really? right now we cant run the ball on key downs, our short yards game is terrible, and if our qb wasnt mobile and didnt throw quickly we would be far worse in sacks. our Oline is "decent" but its not where it needs to be for us to actually win games with offence.

How would you know?

Heinicke dropped 6 inches short on a walk in TD and McLaurin dropped an easy TD too. Those two plays changed the outcome of the game and had nothing to do with the Oline. Beyond results (the team being top 10 in sacks allowed), the line collectively ranks near the top of the league in Pass Block Win Rate. Can it be better? Yes, but for years a lot of us have wondered how bad the line was vs how incapable the QB was. There have been stories going back to RG3 of QBs dropping back 7 steps when the play calls for 3... which exposes the O line.

To also be fair is the entire right side of the line has missed time this year, more of a testament to the fact that we shouldn't continue to make Scherff the highest paid OG in the league

One more point is I don't think it's that we 'cant' convert short yardage, it's that we wont attempt to. The sneak by Heinicke was a joke that can't be attributed to a lack of short yardage ability. All season we've seen this offense line up on 3rd and 2 with an empty backfield. Rarely do we see this team even attempt a run and play bully ball, so at BEST I'd say our short running game gets and 'incomplete.'
