So many of the ones who were given the opportunity to play didn't take advantage of it. So few proved they had the fire or competency to be on the team.

It's just one game and maybe it was our reverse-Osaka, but that game was a Hail no!

Which were given the opportunity to play and chose not to?

I didn't watch a single snap of the game and i have no intention of doing so but based on what I've read its hard for me to read much into the outcome.

It sounds to me like these poor bastards were following general custer into bighorn.

You take a group of guys who are all rookies and backups and put them on the field as a team against another team whos fielding far more veterans and first stringers and you should expect an ass kicking that looks dysfunctional.

If we had as many starters out there as the pats did i think some of our backups at least would have had a chance to look a little better, but when the entire team is hopelessly outmatched it gives little to no chance for anybody to showcase anything.

The one name I was looking for who apparently did dress was Conerly Jr. I wonder how he played?

Clearly Quinn just wanted to get back of the roster guys looks. That's good. But it also shows the general difference between backups and starters in the NFL.

It looked like Connerly, Amos, and Bill all played well. This makes me wonder if the big problem was our vet backups who were going through the motions and felt like they were too good to be out there. In fairess, Iggy and Nichols also had strong showings.
