I agree, I am definitely holding out hope. It is just concerning that the injuries keep happening.
 
1. Kerrigan has more sacks that Green Bay's Matthews and is named Rookie Defensive Player of the Year.

2. The Defense has triple the number of takeways it did a year ago and scores at least 2 TD's on it's own.

3. Four players on offense finish the year with 50 or more receptions.

2. AFC Championship Game MVP ~ Mark Brunell

3. Super Bowl MVP ~ Santana Moss

1. Redskins get revenge and blow out the Eagles

2. Offense is ranked in top 10

3. Hightower leads the NFC in yards rushing.
 
1) Redskins win the east
2) Make it to the Championship game
3) Grossman makes the Pro Bowl
 
LOL Boone, I make accurate predictions, I am not so worried about being bold, but I also dont make nebulous predictions. I am hoping we get better, I just odnt have much faith in Haslett or this scheme, and sadly having torn my achilles, I know whats involved in coming back from a torn achilles even where it seats into the calf (which is what I suspect is landrys injury)

Ryman, you say you make "accurate" predictions, yet in 14 of 16 games last year the Redskins either had the lead, or were driving for the tying or go-ahead TD in the 4th quarter. How is your 2nd prediction even close to accurate? Especially considering the Redskins haven't lost by 50 points in over 10 years (not sure exactly when the last time was, but it wasn't the 2000s).
 
And, for my predictions:

1) Tim Hightower is the NFL rushing champion, putting up over 1700 yards and 16TDs.

2) The Redskins have not one but two 1000+ yard receivers, Santana & Armstrong. Hankerson comes close with 885.

3) Kerrigan is the NFL sack leader, and also leads the league in tackles for a loss on his way to winning the DROY award.
 
Talking to a buddy from Scotland, who is a big Redskin and moderator on an NFL Board there, I told him about this thread. He sent me his bold predictions for this year.

here are my three

1. Redskins D as a whole get more sacks than any other team
2. Gano is 90% successful on all kicks
3. Malcolm Kelly does not get injured until week 6

Well, he's already batting 66% on those...
 
what season were you watching Lanky, we got hammered out by the fecals last year and the patsies the year before that. last season we lost badly to the rams, the lions, the fecals , and the giants. having a defence that couldnt stop anyone when the chips were down meant that in at least one game (the texans) we actually put up great numbers on O and still lost. your problem is that you make arguments in different threads and dont argue the same things consistently. nobody with half a brain is going to try to argue that last years defence was even marginally decent, it was terrible, poorly schemed and had ill fitting players (hence the mass turnover this offseason).

we have some better fits and will be trying to convert some more, but this defence is still ill fitting. One could also easily argue that in many cases, last year the offence was terrible just spotty, not like a couple years back when we literally couldnt move the ball. our record a couple seasons ago was due to our offence not moving the ball or scoring at all, last year we moved the ball but couldnt stop anyone lol.
 
1. Our defense alone will outscore the other team in three games.

2. D. Hall will have 2 INT's but also give up 2 50+ TD passes IN THE SAME GAME.

3. Sexy Rexy WILL go deep and complete a TD pass of 80+ yards. He will also throw two INT's in that game.

Would love to get a few more predictions...because this one will definitely be revisited at the end of the season to see if anyone called a shocker (or two, or three).
 
I have a 4th bold prediction to add to my list.

We will have over 500 yards of offense in a game this year. But that's not all, we will do it more than once.

Of all my predictions, I will risk a humiliating one month sig bet on this one.
 
My bold predictions:

1. Washington will score more points than at least one other NFC East team this year.

2. Terrence Austin will end the season as a major contributor at wide receiver, moving past Armstrong as the #3 and setting himself up to be a candidate for #2 in 2012.

3. Brian Orakpo will lead the conference in sacks now that he is no longer the only threat on defense.

4. Rocky McIntosh will be supplanted at ILB at some point of the 2011 season by Fox or Riley. He is the weak spot in the front seven right now.

you know...I watched the replay of the Ravens game last night...with Gruden and Jaworski as announcers. Jaworkski was comparing the two QBs and mentioned - in distinction to received theory on this board - that RG had a weak arm for the deep game. just repeating what a retired QB who has been analyzing tape for years said .... :) .....
