I LOVE American Thanksgiving. Ever since I was seven years old and fell in love with the Burgundy and Gold, it has always been one of the highlights of the NFL schedule for me. So much so that as a kid, I would do everything within my power to convince my parents to allow me to stay home from school to watch the afternoon games and not miss a second of the action. To this day, I still make a concerted effort to use a personal day from work to simply participate in the best Thursday of the yearly calendar. John Madden summed it up best when he stated, "Thanksgiving and football, some things just go together greatly." We will likely all agree with that statement. What we might not agree on is what dishes are the highlight of the Thanksgiving feast, and which dishes are the ones we want no part of. This is often a very polarizing topic.
Your challenge is simple. Identify your top three Thanksgiving foods in order of preference (1 being the best, 2 being second best, 3 being your third favourite). Also, identify your three least favourite Thanksgiving foods. Here is the twist - associate each dish you list with a Commander. For example, your favourite Thanksgiving dish will also be the player you think has performed the best on the roster this season. Your least favourite Thanksgiving dish will also be the player you think has performed the worst in 2023. Feel free to include coaches in your rankings as well! Have at it!
Happy Thanksgiving, BGO!
