2026 Washington Commanders Schedule

NFL, aka, you money grubbing SOB's,

I must have missed the announcement there is now a Thanksgiving Eve game. Of course, only available on a streaming platform.

Don't feed that BS about trying to reach a broader or different audience, you reach the broadest audience by keeping your product available to those who built you up.

If you made a package that provided all the NFL games, if you say you do with Sunday Ticket, you lose a testicle, no matter what service they were on, I would subscribe to it. However, you spin this, this is so those streaming services can feast on those people that will sign up for the service the day of the game while friends and family are over and then forget to cancel the service within the 30 day window.

In uncertain economic times, it was always nice to know that football was available on main networks, at 1 and 4 on Sundays and 9 on Mondays. Okay, you moved to cable, for Sunday Night, that's cool, we allowed it and adjusted, but now, being the pimp you are, you have to whore out your product to any streaming service that can pony up the cash.

I thought the Christmas Day Netflix was the point of no return, but now you are digging deep to come up with ways to stretch out holidays. How much longer before the Super Bowl is pay per view?

Teetering on the edge of being done.

yep, no soft camp, no Jayden isn't going to throw a ball all preseason

It's not an illusion. According to SOS the Eagles have an easier schedule than the rest of the NFCE. Seems stupid.... :whoknows:

I think SOS is very subjective before the season starts.

No excuses here, get at it early.

You're singing my tune brother.

They're pricing out fans of out of market teams especially.

The fact that they make you get youtubetv (like 80 bucks a month) and then nfl sunday ticket (another like 400 bucks) and that only covers the games they haven't spread out over all the f$%#@ing networks that you have to get individualy to make sure you get all the games.

Its insanity.

You had to have DirectTV to get Sunday ticket before, so that's not really that different. However, I would bet the NFL would make a ton of money if they offered a streaming service as a standalone product for the season rather than being attached to another service. Don't tell me they don't have the money to figure out how to do it.

Exactly.

The best way to reach the maximum audience is to keep the games on the free broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) that reach the most people and everyone has access to.

Putting games on Netflix and Amazon Prime where only a small percentage of people have compared to broadcast networks and saying it's to reach more people is disingenuous at best and an outright lie at worst.

It's just money grubbing.

The schedule is brutal. We knew the opponents but the sequencing is just about the worst it can be. Way too many primetime games for my liking, too.

Tough looking schedule, but a lot can change between now and end of season. Seattle could struggle, Daniel jones does what he does best, giants, Vikings and Texans could fall flat. On the flip side, every one of these teams could be in the hunt for the playoffs. That’s football baby.

This is kindof nonsense because it accounts for the fact the Eagles played us and the Giants twice with crap records and that’s why the schedule is easier.

If you want any type of comparison, the only thing to really do is compare the 3 games against non-common opponents.

And as I’ve said a million times, SOS measured year to year in any form is a useless exercise.

What I will say is starting with 2 away division games, then hosting the SB champs before going to England and not having a bye on either side of the international game is a really tough opening 4 game stretch.

They better not be have a slow start or they’re going to be cooked by Halloween.

Looking at the schedule and drawing too many conclusions is probably not worth the time because 1 to 2 teams on that schedule who were bad last year will be good, and vice versa. But if the teams play similar to last year, I like it being back loaded with a bunch of average to poor teams in those last 7 games.
