2026 UDFA Thread.

Where is BayouBrave86 to give us the scoop? Sounds like he’s fast but injuries kept him off the field.

As a long-time LSU fan who grew up in Baton Rouge, my take is, Chris Hilton just might be the most disappointing receiver I've seen there in 50 years of watching the Tigers.

The best you could consistently hope for on throws to him at LSU was a defensive pass interference penalty. Terrible hands. Terrible route running - go route is the only thing he could "run" competently. Very sketchy effort. So not impressed with this signing, would rather have seen literally any other LSU player signed. Yes, even the much-maligned and also-injury-prone LB Harold Perkins, who at least looked to be giving max effort when he was on the field.

The DT M'Ba is 27 years old? He's going to have to learn quick
I realize some players are older because of the COVID exceptions, but 27????

Yeah, but if there is one position I think a guy can come in and play is NT, although you have the question of his height and balance - he's almost 6'6 and how many DTs inside or NTs play at that height?

Jumpy Geathers was the last one we had that I can remember - he was 6'7 and 300 and could pick OL up off the field and throw them backward.

So, if it works, it works :claps:

Ouch.

Fred Davis II really impressed me with his bio until I read the 40 time of 4.65.

I don't know if a cornerback can play in the NFL running a 4.65.

Thoughts?

Keep in mind he was sleepwalking.

Oh, wait… wrong Fred Davis…

Im reading these names and looking up highlights and… I just can’t care that much about these guys at the moment. Been a long few days, I’m tired lol…

I’m sure I’ll watch them at some point but meh. Most of these dudes aren’t going to be here in late August.

Wish them the best.

Hahah figured we might take a shot on Hilton. And yes to echo what Dah said, he is one of the most disappointing WRs of the last decade. He has all the tools to be a first round talent..but yeah, he can’t catch 😂 moreso because he has this annoying habit of jumping early when the ball is headed his way. 0 anticipation. It’s mind numbing. But hey, worth taking a flyer on. If he somehow turns around, which I don’t expect him to..he’s a legitimate deep threat option.

ETA: Nuss had a lingering injury this season and had a noodle for an arm because of it so couldn’t test secondaries deep and Brian Kelly was a terrible coach who had lost the locker room so that’s what’s giving me a ray of hope.

I just read where Hilton participated in all 4 all star games leading up to the draft which no college player has done before, so maybe the light turned on.

This was two seasons ago when Nuss could actually throw downfield but this is the annoying jumping I’m talking about

I am with you. I am drunk as fuck and tired. And trying to navigate social media for UDFA news when I can barely type. This hobby is frustrating sometimes. :)

He has 4.4 speed, other than that he is indistinguishable from a runner that has never played organized football at any level.

I think signing this guy was worth it just to read Bulldog’s description of what sounds like the worst WR prospect in the history of the NFL. It’s like he is describing a character in a 90s Adam Sandler movie. 😂😂😂

He has an elite vertical too to be fair. We didn’t waste a draft pick on him. Rooting for all these signings to somehow pan out. He was insanely frustrating to watch but so was much of our offense under Kelly the last two seasons. Nuss was also over rated and glad I don’t have to watch him take another snap.
