I think it’s extremely safe to bet that Diggs will have more receptions than McLaurin. No, that doesn’t mean I think he’s better… it’s just the types of routes I expect and how quickly I expect Diggs to be open.

That said, they are absolutely going to run stuff to get Terry open underneath and I think it might be closer in receptions. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Diggs ahead in catches and Terry in yards, with both having very good years.

As long as they stay healthy and as long as Jayden can stay upright.

Here’s a bold statement sure to go wrong: the player with the most catches next year will be Chig.

McLaurin will have more yards.

I wouldn’t actually be surprised if McLaurin led the team in yardage but was third in receptions.

This is a super friendly TE offense and Daniels likes throwing to TEs.

If Diggs draws extra attention, both McLaurin and Chig will benefit.

And if they are concerned at all about protection, then you’re going to see a lot of quick game which also benefits TEs.

I wouldn’t bet on it. But I wouldn’t be remotely surprised either.

If Jayden plays like he did in 2024, or better, it's going to cover a lot of roster holes.


I know a lot of people have said Luke McCaffery has been the best WR in camp, but Mitch keeps beating the Diyami drum. Before Diggs signed, he said you could pencil Diyami in for like 4 for 50 every game. I think that's a bit aggressive.

From the sounds of it (and the rare few videos actually circulated), Jaydens ball placement has been absurd. It does not sound (someone correct me if I'm misunderstanding) like the other QBs are having any sort of similar success with these WR.

I wouldn't put Jayden throwing a perfect ball dropping it in over the correct shoulder at the sideline as some indication the WR has suddenly figured it out. It's more so the catch point is where the WR can get two hands on it and the DB can't.

Sometimes a DB has a good technical rep, and the difference between an Interception and a WR catch is just the throw by the QB.

I can't wait for the joint practices to help figure this all out.

I would not argue against this at all.

But I might be the #1 terrified about the CBs guy, so I wouldn’t argue this point at all.

I do think Jayden has some chemistry with Dyami, that’s why we brought him back.

I really like our wide receivers this year, my biggest concern with that unit is that there aren’t enough balls to go around.

Inauspicious start for Amos. Good for him to get to 100%, but he needs reps and we need him on the field.

To add to the point, Tunsil is either the best or second best player on the team depending on how you rank him and Daniels. As of this moment based on what we saw last year, I'd say he's the best. Based on 2024, closer.

I do think they are in a spot to cover for his absence though.

Even though I wasn't freaked out by WR the way others were, Diggs provides a security blanket and raises the floor of the WR tremendously.

Amos' getting healthy is now not my only concern. I have 2 more:

1. That he is able to stay healthy once he gets healthy. He played in 10 games last year, broke his leg (that's just bad luck), but took a long time to get back onto the field and then got hurt immediately again. That is concerning.
2. He hasn't played or really practiced since November of last year. He missed the entire off-season program, at least the on-field parts of it. We're implementing a new defense. There's going to be rust and he's going to be behind.

I think they need to consider making another move at CB. I know they brought back Fabian Moreau. And at the moment, he would figure to be the 5th CB. They might really want to just keep 4 CBs, but with Amos' health/practice situation, they might need to sign another. Though Moreau at least was with the vikings last year, so he probably knows what he's doing. So if Amos is missing, at least there's somebody who knows the defense to step in.

This CB situation was bad, got better with the Douglas signing, got worse with the Amos re-injury, and now is just sortof stuck in purgatory.
