I hope one of the kickers distances himself in this competition rather than it being a really close, tough call in the end. Including preseason performance. That way we at least know we made the rational choice and if it comes back to bite us, it’s not bad process but bad luck lol

In fairness, outside today, Moody's been very sharp from what I remember. I still favor Stephens anyway. I want the guy who can launch one and has better long distance accuracy.

He's been well below average at every distance for his career. Last year, he performed well from 40+ but missed 3 out of 15 bunnies. We know he does not have a strong leg and I'd call it below average, too. At this point, I think he's just a dude AP is familiar with that is still young and theoretically could improve, but probably won't.

The entire board should be rooting hard for Drew Stevens.

Edit to add: Those NFL averages are for the last three seasons, which span Moody's career. I relied on ChatGPT for the data but it's good at that sort of thing.

Nice post on moody Skinfanjon . Those stats are telling. Sadly his below average numbers are better than we have had from most of our other recent kickers. Go Stevens!


It is not surprising the IOL is not looking great. Allegretti is really the only C who has a feel for line calls Jayden or anything else. The idea that Good Jones could be the backup has a baddddd look.
