And even though Hartman actually didn't look like trash in the preseason, they've already screamed at the top of their lungs that they will never play him. So, WTH is the point of signing him to the practice squad.

AK is better than Hartman and they signed a 39-year old off the street last year rather than start Hartman when that situation (both QB’s hurt) arose

In the joint practice and the preseason game against Baltimore the interior of the offensive line seemed to struggle significantly. That's a fair question... but our beat reporters seem to pull their punches a bit at these press conferences.

Absolutely. They haven't earned IMO the fans trust that we just need to trust that they got something special cooking whether we realize it or not. Maybe they will earned that trust this year and they have the laugh about all the angst about Allegretti, or maybe Gulbin emerges or maybe they are negotiating with a FA as we speak. But as I've said this reminds me so much about the WR talk last year and we were supposed to chill and let the plan unfold.

And like last year, Noah Brown's injury was relevant. Ditto this year Allegretti's injury is relevant. I hope they are vindicated of course. But I am 50-50 on this at best.

With that line, I give Daniels 3 to 6 weeks, at best.

It can't hurt to have several QBs that are familiar with the system, and that seems to be the trend this year.

I watched it, and missing him saying this.

My most optimistic take of all of this is the hype of the current center corp is just normal we back our guys rhetoric and they are in deep negotiations with some like Glasgow.

My big concern is that we only have 3 corners on the active roster. Has anybody ever seen that before? I suppose we’ll use safeties if a team goes 4 wide, but don’t we still need reserves?

We have two players they’ll be putting on IR who are still on the roster (Newton + Tunsil) so I believe we’ll have room for another CB or two soon. Keim has speculated Moreau will be back ASAP

Fabian Moreau has already been added to the roster per reports, as has Shy Tuttle.

I know as a coach/GM you are obliged to hype up the players on your roster, but I hope this is just lip service. I have no idea why anybody in their right mind would "very confident" in a career guard who is transitioning to center for the first time in his career, and who could only muster one practice the entire summer because of a string of nagging injuries.

I have zero faith that Alegretti will remain healthy all season, which means we're barreling towards having a player start at center that has essentially never played any NFL snaps; Gulbin being a rookie and JGJ being so bad he's earned a total of 5 reps over 6 years as a journeyman.

It confounds me that this staff and FO didn't take a look at this see the obvious urgent need there. This problem has been staring them in the face for months.
