I seriously don’t understand how someone like Trey Amos falls in the draft the way he did. At a crucial position with limited talent league-wide, he’s prototypical in every respect and proved himself out on the field. Something just doesn’t add up, not that I’m complaining.

Back injury:

Trey Amos, a cornerback for the Washington Commanders, experienced a back injury during the pre-draft process. This injury caused him to fall in the 2025 NFL draft, where he was eventually selected in the second round. While some teams were concerned about the long-term implications of the injury, the Commanders were reportedly comfortable with the situation and saw him as a good value pick. Amos himself has stated that his back is fine.
 
Meanwhile the Kentucky kid Maxwell is out for an extended period with the LCL injury he sustained a week or so ago. A lot of people wanted him with our first pick. Man, did we luck out. We may have gotten the steal of the draft at the rate Amos is progressing.

Why is our rookie RB referred to as Bill?

Other than JD I actually like this draft class better than last year to date, and they had far fewer picks.
 
He got the nickname as a kid - something to do with the old Fat Albert cartoons I believe (*correction* - it came from another Bill Cosby cartoon on Nickelodeon per Primus Porcus)

He had the nickname from when he was young because he said he looked like Little Bill

This was probably the plan all along, but we definitely don't need Terry Talking to national media after practice... smart move
 
Supposedly we requested not to do 1v1's. Patriots are a bit disappointed by it. Sounds like we don't want to burn that time, but the Patriots wanted to see how their guys matched up?
