2025 Washington Commanders Camp / Preseason

Best case scenarios in roughly the order I think they will actually happen.

Sainristill is talked about as one of the better slot corners in the league.

Amos and Connerly pan out and inserted as starters which upgrades both positions.

JCM impresses in preseaon and is annointed the starting RB position where he offers the explosiveness we've been lacking for years.

Deebo and Payne blow up as they are both in contract years. We've seen it happen with Payne before and Deebo has done this as well.

Now I am getting into 50/50 territory.

Lattimore was really injured last season and returns to close to what he was in NO.

Magee really is who they think he is and offers youth and speed to a linebacking group that could really use this.

Johnny Newton lives up to the draft hype and develops into a solid inside force. I'm less optimistic about this one.

Listening to Keim, he was hyping Yankoff some. He thought they likely keep 4 TEs and Yankoff is one of them. He thinks he has a shot to usurp Sinnott.

I mentioned the one day I was at camp, Yankoff popped.

Sinnott seems to be having a quiet camp. In minicamp, Quinn touted him some. But have heard little since.

Among the rookies, feels like:

A. Conerly -- up and down camp. Might not be the starter on day 1.

B. Amos -- looks like the real deal, likely starter

C. Lane -- decent camp

D. Medrano -- good camp (popping more than Hampton) likely makes the team at a minimum on special teams.

E. Croskey-Merritt -- looks very good, but tough to judge RBs until preseason games.

Judging purely by camp reports and the one practice I watched.

The two things I am feeling better about are the secondary and pass rush.

Amos seems like the real deal. Sainristill is emerging even more. Lattimore looks solid. J. Jones and Noah I look good, too.

The other is the pass rush. Looks like they got a mix of pressure packages including having Luvu crash from right, Armstrong from the inside, Von from the left. And they look good doing it.

Also I saw a lot of stunts and chaos coming from the D line. Feels like this off season there has been some emphasis on press packages and finding new ways to create havoc and from what I saw and heard -- its working so far.

Thanks for this. I had to look up Yankoff to learn that he was on the team last year. I too have heard nothing about Sinnott. Man if you spend a 2nd on a TE that seems to be a pretty safe pick and it would be a big miss if he didn't pan out.

Sinnott supposedly flashed earlier in training camp? Then there was the day he didn't practice and I haven't heard him mentioned since but apparently he's back on the practice field?

I'm wondering where where gonna put them. Wags and Luvu are givens, then you have Magee, Kain and now apparently T. Owens all competing for a starting spot

I think Kain and Owens will be tweeners though being in on passing downs out on running ones. Magee a legit LB.

Keep hearing how big Kinlaw is....but dear God!

Here now...arrived ~ 7:15..they let us on the lot as soon as we pulled up. Good thing, with the exception of Richmond, this is the longest line that I've ever seen at camp...
Sweet! I'm actually glad he left early this morning ;) cuz I've got 2 priorities today...training camp and tennis in Canada. :ROFLMAO:
