He's extremely RASsy, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Yeah, I know he scored well. He just looks in that clip that I could take him in a 40 (ok…25) and, trust me, that would be a problem. 😉

Tough to post while I was there, sun beaming in my face, so tough to see my screen,

I've seen multiple Ron's camps, multiple Jay camps. This was my first one for Quinn. Tougher for me me to digest that practice compared to the others in past because the practices move so briskly. Jays and Rons had more downtime between some reps so you have more time to reflect.

Ron wasn't overly engaged from what I recall as to practice itself. Jay was engaged with the offense noticeably. Quinn was too, more so than the other two he would at times race to talk to the offense-defense before a play then run back to the sidelines, etc. He was wearing the Anywhere, Anytime, Anybody shirt.

My main takeaways was the secondary looked really good, sticky coverage including the backups Vigers and Jonthan Jones. I was best positioned to see Sainristill and he looked great, ball of energy. I saw Amos on one play all over the WR, couldn't tell which WR. Vigers made multiple good plays.

I said this after watching practice, if I recall heading into the 2016 season that Chris Thompson looks like he will explode that season based on what I was watching in practice. Because he was targeted again and again and again. Same idea this year with Deebo. Deebo was everywhere, slot, Z. Catching screens, digs up the middle. And one play they ran, was awesome, he fakes being ready for a screen, then just takes off down the field for a big play and made a great catch. He also looked in super good shape.

As I mentioned I saw Lane on one play just about take it to the house, it looked like a handoff of some type, he speed with electric. Same thought with Croskey-Merritt, his explosion was really easy to see. Up close he looks to me as a slightly slimmer version of Clinton Portis.

As for the D line. Looks like they have Payne playing the same spot, on the left side, sometimes 3, sometimes 1. Kinlaw seems to be working Jonathan Allens previous side, right side, 3 gap. Kinlaw sometimes lined up at 0-1 (nose).

J. Martin and Luvu alternating at edge on the right. Martin lined up around the A gap on one play. Von Miller was left end. I saw Ferrell there too. I had a hard time seeing Newton or whomever was playing inside on the right, so I assume he was playing there. I could see Kinlaw because he was tall and between that and his number he was hard to miss.

Von Miller and Luvu came crashing to the QB from multiple sides on one play. Kinlaw looked distruptive and beat Coleman on one play I caught. Kinlaw looks twitchy for a big dude. On one play though he was so upright that he lost leverage so I gather that's his weakness.

Jayden looked sharp in his practice throws. Decent in the offense versus defense drills but the defense was sharper -- both the D line and secondary was good.

Jayden on the side talked for awhile to Ertz. Then him and Ertz and Deebo. Then Deebo and Ertz chating with each other for awhile

Aside from Deebo tough to think of WRs who stood out good or bad. Jacoby Jones with the 3s made some plays. Luke McCaffrey played some with the ones but didn't do anything that struck me noticeable. Yankoff had some nice catches. Ertz up close looks bigger than expected to me. Bates looks leaner than I expected.

I was paying more attention to who was doing what on the D line to also pay attention to the O line dynamic on the other end. But from what I saw the D line had the better day. Looks like they like to mix it up on rig ht side D E and Luvu will be one of the straight on pass rushers from RDE. Kinlaw looks like will be a movable piece.

Goldman I believe was playing with the backups and did play nose. If I saw right he did play with the 1's on a play and Kinlaw was in on that one, too. Conerly took reps on the right and left.

After practice, from what I saw Ekeler was super nice, talked to the fans, signed autographs, Chris Rodriguez, too. lol, Daron Payne has kept to his standard from every training camp practice I've seen, and I've seen many, no talking to fans, no autographs. Jayden was signing. It was good to see Lattimore sign a lot for fans. I keep hearing how quiet he is and not the most social but he was engaged with the fans. Deebo signed and talked to fans.

If I had to pick the players that got me excited based on that practice alone: Deebo, Sainristill, Croskey-Merritt. And Vigers would be the dark horse player who intrigued me.

As to Kinlaw, he's a maybe for me but I lean positive. They clearly see him as a dude who can be disruptive, the way they moved him around. Also judging by that practice, they I gather are high on J. Martin since he got his share of reps.

you mentioned how fast Lane looked. Was that in the course of a play, or just running around?

Did Kinlaw ever line up as Elephant End? Off the OT's shoulder in a 4 man front with 2 other DT's? That was a popular off-season rumor.

Conerly being a swing tackle is interesting. Good to hear about Deebo.

How did Amos look?

I didn't see Kinlaw there but I couldn't watch everyone on every play so I might have missed it. I did see him play nose and play on Allen's old side which was mostly right side- 3 technique. Amos looked good when I watched him.

skinsinparadise I'm assuming that the crowds are larger because we don't suck. We'll be there Monday. We usually get there between 7 & 7:30. What time did you get there this morning?

Thanks!

The line was insane. I got there around 6:55 AM. But the line moved very fast, I was in within 20 minutes or so.

I figured as much. You got in line for the parking lot at 6:55 AM and got inside 20 minutes later? That's not so bad. Thank you very much!

Paulson was saying the same after just the 1st 3 days of camp. Excited to see how they have improved this year.
Yeah his podcast partner Hoffman this off season harped on the secondary as his prime concern. Paulsen didnt seem to agree. Judging by camp today and from what ive heard so far, this secondary might be good this season.

Craig Hoffman is a turd. I listen for Logan’s insights. Hoffman is a mouth breather.

No practice today.
So I... I have to focus on work?
