Matt Gay yesterday- 6 for 6 on FGs from the 32 to the 52 yard lines.

Yea for Gay!

May be one of the better moves they made this offseason. Gay is a quality PK, with a big leg. How nice would it be to have a kicker that stays with the team for more than a season or two?

I do wonder how much having a better kicker influences Quinn's desire to go for it on 4th down. I actually really liked last year's never say die attitude.

I think it will subdue it to a degree. I think probably around 65-70% as aggressive as last year. Remember it takes two trips to the same spot on the field to equal 1 touchdown drive. That math will still math.

My wife is a 4th grade teacher...the way they go around their asses to get to their elbow is convoluted at best! Who would have known 2 + 2 could take up a whole sheet of paper. Lol

I have to believe we will take a step 'back' in our 4th down conversion rate too. We did something last year that is such an anomaly it can't be depended on. They have to know that. There will absolutely be confidence in our ability, especially with 5 under center.

Ill be curious to see how much of our 4th down decision making was the direct result of having a relatively porous defense?
