It's apparently serious enough that Terry and his team decided they wanted to up the public pressure. I think this is the first thing that makes me nervous things could go south.

Didn't hear the presser. I hope you are misreading that.

Meh…Myles Garrett stated outright that he wanted to be traded to a contender and wasn’t gonna play another down for the Browns. And the Browns said they weren’t gonna cave to his demands. He ended up signing with the Browns lol…

If we don't resign Terry it'll not only be a mistake for losing a home grown talent that I'd pay some solid money on a two year deal that looks like three but I'd wager also would be demoralizing to the fanbase.

120M 4 years 2 guaranteed plus bonus options

I’ve always been a big Terry fan, and I do think the team should offer him a fair market value of about $30-32 million. His consistency and professionalism over his tenure here warrant it.

However, the fact is he is still under contract, and at some point his continued holdout is detrimental to the team.

If the team isn’t offering a deal in the $30 million range, then I blame them, but if they are and Terry is still holding out for more then he isn’t quite the unselfish guy I believed he was. I don’t know which it is, but I am disappointed the deal isn’t done.

I think it might be a case of a player outperforming their contract coupled with the last year of the contract not being guaranteed, which puts the player’s future earnings at risk should there be an injury. Or something lol…

I think Terry deserves a slightly better than market contract. The current crew wasn't here for it, but I don't mind him getting a "pain and suffering" bonus. He endurred a lot of stuff playing under Snyder and Rivera. There was so little about the team you could feel good about. So much off the field crap, so much low effort, so much to break a person and yet Terry was a pro. He rose above it and we could at least point to him as a player who represented what we wanted a "skin to be. So, I'm okay with a premium even at this point in his career. Now, I don't think you reset the market for him. I don't know if you even match the contracts of the best players (which I think is what Terry wants) but if at his age and skill if he should get 3 years 90m I could see 3 years 100.

He wants to continue to make contributions to this team's success.
JD5 has a target, Terry is almost always his first read. (I ain't even close to some of y'all with the Xs and Os, but he likes big yardage if he can get it...makes the small chunks a little easier for first down...just spit-ballin' here).

He's good for the team. Get it done.

The team will hold three open practices for all fans on July 27, July 29, and August 2, along with three open practices exclusively for season ticket members in select membership types on July 28, July 31, and August 4. All practices will begin at 9 a.m. EST and are subject to change

Anybody (or beatwriter) planning on posting live updates on plays/impressions/standouts/etc? Nowadays they all save that for their podcast, which I almost never listen to.
