I don't know that there is much which can be done about injuries. They are unfortunate.
I'm not sure bringing Allegretti and Wylie off the bench, instead of immediately going to Tanner Scott, can be called unprepared.

Oh, I think they are VERY prepared. I also think you're referencing Trent Scott. I think it's just unfortunate at this point they have to go to depth.

Yes, Trent, not Tanner. I stayed up too late watching the game and then haven't had enough coffee. But, to be clear, I wholly agree with your point. I think the depth on the OL is good. Secondary too.

Bill FTW

Ignore the dumb click-baity headline (of course rookies who play a ton in preseason lead in a quantity-based counting stat) but still good to see

I'd be surprised if the team needs to tell Robinson to sit out. He has everything to lose by getting even just a sprain right now. I still can't believe any team is seriously considering trading any resource for him. He's an average RB following the average career arc of fading several years into his career. Any RB would have to be unusually bad to not be able to match his output through youth and willpower for the first year or two. Given the cost of trading for an average RB vs finding one of the many average RBs out there (who should be able to protect the ball better), I'd go for the cheaper option and hopefully higher ceiling option.

I agree, it's going to be tough.

Have they officially names a starter for week 1? I haven't been paying that close attention.

I believe Russell Wilson.

Their defense is clearly tough. If we got no Noah and at best a nonprepared Terry it could be a grind.

It's just weird how that team gives Washington issues when Dallas and the Eagles often smoke the Giants.

I know what you mean but, as it relates to last year specifically, a) the offense was still finding its groove and Kliff was still learning to fully trust Jayden in the first game we played against them and b) Jayden was playing with a broken rib in the second game we played against them.

Obviously, we got lucky in that first game that they were missing their kicker, but I also think we were super unlucky in the Red Zone that game and had to rely on kicking a ton of field goals to win.

I think if we have Mclaurin and Brown, and the team is fully healthy other than Cosmi, we can win convincingly against a team that is still searching for a top half of the league starter at QB (though Russ can still be dangerous if we give him the opportunity).

I recall some players say its simply part of the Giants culture that even in bad seasons, expect to beat Washington.

Granted this team narrowly beat them twice last year. But the Giants seem hungry and energized this off season. And does it get any better for them to beat an upstart team on the road in game 1? I think the Giants will came at that game really fired up.
