2025 Game Prediction Thread- Commanders v Giants

Right now I am on the fence depending on Thomas as to whether he plays.

When I thought he was healthy, I'd guess Giants 27 Commanders 20.

But if Thomas doesn't play, I love the domino effect it has on that unit. So I might readjust my prediction later in the week when i know whether he plays.

We have had a long time to game plan for the Giants. I dont see how people think we regress so much and the Giants have done so great. Their D is solid yes. But they are not stopping us from getting a minimum of 5 TDs. Mark my words!!!

We never handle our business with the Giants... I'm guessing 20-17 us. Last second field goal that squeaks in as Matt Gay gives us all a heart attack.

Their D line is more than solid. First game can be funky. It don't see that game as all encompassing where it captures the season as a whole where the regression point applies to this in my opinion. Every given Sunday. I think in general Washington >>>> Giants. But this Sunday, I think the Giants have some variables cooking in their favor.

For game 1, I think Washington is the perfect opponent for the Giants.

The Giants like the Bengals and some other teams made the conclusion that their slow starts are somewhat predicated by not taking the preseason seriously enough in the past so they really went to town to ensure their starters got game reps.

Dan Quinn is a good coach. But he's 2-5 in the openers. While the Giants were giving their starters plenty of game reps, Quinn did not do the same this preseason.

Washington trying to find new chemistry with their O line, facing a monster D line as their first test.

Jayden hasn't thrown a ball this preseason. Terry and Noah were on the shelf for the preseason and likely won't play the full game.

I think its going to be a dog fight with the Giants likely being more motivated. But will see. I hope am wrong.

Tough call for an early game. Defense usually gets you wins in September and January. Their Dline is nasty good, but that's about all I'm worried about. I think our DL is good enough and with Luvu and Von blitzing, our revamped secondary will take advantage of ole Russ.

Were going to have to run it down their throats though and hope for a couple big plays.
