2025 Commanders Transactions Thread

The way things are going with McLaurin I would have to consider the possibility we are without him for the first 7 games and he comes in midseason to get credit for the league year and then departs in free agency or sign/trade next offseason.

I just wonder at this point what the coaches and Peters think of the current WR group. Guys make individual plays in camp or drop a ball and that gets reported on, but Peters has enough experience to look at a guy line up and run routes even at 7 on 7 and tell whether that player can actually get on the field and make a contribution, guys like Lane and Ja'Cory Brooks.

Signed a free agent Lb

I think he’s a LB. But yeah. We signed a guy.

I felt that Medrano already showed more than Hampton has to date, so not totally surprised by the move ^

I kind of like the decisiveness. We were all consoling ourselves that preseason games don't matter, but clearly the coaches are saying they do.

We all saw the poor energy, execution, and focus. Guys who don't want to be out there don't need to be here.

We were talking about it on the podcast. The final score meant squat. The poor showing had nuance, but as you said in another thread (or at least another post) that the parts outweighed the sum here. The final score and result was meaningless, but there was still a lot to be taken from it. It's just deeper than the basic 'we suck' or 'this is a problem' speak. I'm sure there was a number of players that got 'exposed' that we're not even aware of. There also were a number of players that performed well that had no effect on the score.

Yeah the Medrano pick spelled out that Hampton was on the hot seat even though they aren’t exactly the same archetype of developmental player. Hampton really didn’t flash anything though unfortunately, kinda glad they have an able trigger finger on their own whiffs

Josh Conerly Jr., Trey Amos, Jaylin Lane, Kain Medrano, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt.
Welcome to the board. This is a list of names. Where you trying to make a point about this year's draft class as it relates to transaction?

Commanders have signed Daryl Worley

Signed WR River Cracraft and released WR Michael Strachan

Every time I saw "Michael Strachan" I had to read it twice to make sure it wasn't Strahan... I can't be the only one... Granted, he wasn't a big newsmaker but when I saw his name I always had to read it a couple of times.

I don't usually dwell on names but there's something about Cracraft. Every time I see it I think it's something Shaggy would say when the gang order him and Scooby to explore a derelict ship."

"Yoinks! You want me to go into that cra... cra... craft!"
"How about for a Scooby snack?"
"No."
"Two Scooby snacks. I got the new bacon-flavored kind."
"Ruh Roh!"
"Come on, Scoob. Let's get a hop onto this nice cra... craft. Nothing spooky about it. Lots of cra... crafts just float in the air without anything holding it up, right?"

Peters really likes those 28-31 year old veteran free agents 🤣🤣🤣
