Bauer is a LB if anyone is curious.

I put the position at the top if it wasn’t included in the tweet.

Thanks for all of the UDFA info

I'm hoping Coleman is the beast they seem to think he is and that he is our LT in waiting. But hard to disagree with you Tom. I thought we might draft 3 OL guys. No idea if they are looking at vets out there.

We evidently graded guys like Dominick Puni and later on Christian Mahogany much lower than the teams that drafted them, San Francisco and Detroit.

When I saw these particular teams take these players I felt a pinch because SF and DET have been excellent drafting clubs the past few years and often get guys who can play in those middle rounds.

Might also be a 'fit' judgment ...

The one criticism though is that yes, there could be a transition to scheme but if you draft NO linemen at certain spots then you are assured of having no competition there.

Again, I am feeling better that Peters is so confident in Coleman being able to compete and hold his own at LT.

It could be the guy fights and does his best there for a year and then we take a OT in Round 1 next year and he moves to right tackle.

Who knows at this point.

The one thing I absolutely loved about this draft is that we did not reach for OT. No one would've criticized Peters if they'd drafted best available LT prospect at either 36 or 40 but they did not do that. They let the draft come to them, and filled some needs but clearly had athleticism and leadership as top priorities as we worked our way through the draft. We'll have to see how the whole LT conundrum works out but I think far too many of us were in a hurry to mortgage picks in order to secure that one spot, and I think that would've been a mistake. I'm glad we didn't opt to do that.

Heh! The one thing I hate about this draft is that we didn't reach for an OT.

Okay, that's not actually true, but I would have liked to see more attention paid to the o-line. I wouldn't have even minded if it was in rounds 5-7 because I feel we need depth as much as we need starters. In reality, I'm fine with the way the draft played out, but I still think we are seasons away from having the kind of line I want us to have and frustratingly (unless Coleman rocks) this draft didn't even start us down the road of getting better on the line.

Interesting...
