Several seasons back, our dearly departed friend Docsandy made a generous donation of some classic items to BGO.

One of the items donated was an amazing Redskins keyring collection, many of them are one of a kind collected during the glory days of the first Gibbs era.

That gift sparked in my little brain an idea for a new weekly contest, which we've cleverly titled 'Keys to a Victory'.

To play, all you have to do is post in this thread. Each week, before kickoff, let BGO know what you think the key play, player, or moment that will turn out to be the 'turning point' or 'deciding factor' in a big win will be. Remember that others may have similar ideas, so be as specific as you can. Give us the WHAT, the WHO, and the WHEN.

Do not describe the entire game or post a litany of things that could happen. The winning entry will be the member who makes a concise, clear prediction of a key play, player, or moment that turns the tide of the game.

For example, 'Late in the 4th quarter, player 'X' has an interception to seal the Washington win', or 'Player X has over 100 yds rushing and 2 TDs', or 'Coach Quinn decides to go for it on 4th down on 'X' drive resulting in a TD'.

The BGO member who, in staff's estimation, nails it or comes closest to predicting the 'key to a victory' will receive a vintage Redskins keyring in the mail the next week.

Get predicting!

Make your 'Key to a Victory' prediction for the Steelers game :cheer2:

The defense will keep us in the game, but it’ll be Luvu grabbing an interception to stop the Steelers from completing a game winning drive, giving Washington the win.

BSJ will not only have a INT but will return it for a TD. 😉

Ekeler scores on a screen pass from at least 20 yards out that puts our team up two scores late in the game. Not brave enough to predict what the defense does from there. ;)

Luke McCaffery catches a 30 yd td pass from Jayden to go up on the Steelers at the beginning of the 4th quarter 28-21. This guy has to have a coming out party at some point right? I’ve seen plenty of plays where he is wide open.

Yeah - BRob is out for this one HTTR4LIFE . Feel free to make another prediction!
Alright, take 2: Dante Fowler strip sacks Russell Wilson sometime in the 2nd-half. The turnover leads to a go-ahead (never look back) score by Washington.

Ben Sinnott has a breakout game securing 5 passes for 89 yards and 2 TDS, one late in the forth to put the commanders up by 15 and sealing the game!

I’m saving Luke’s first TD for next week…and it won’t be a catch. 🤫

Jeremy Chinn comes up with a Russell Wilson turnover to seal the game.

Zane Gonzalez misses a go ahead field goal in the 4th quarter and Russell Wilson hits George Pickens on the ensuing drive that allows the Steelers to pull ahead and ultimately win.

No winner this week.

A couple honorable mentions, tshile was 100% correct about the defense keeping us in this game. Lupin IV was right that Austin Ekeler would have a big game. He had 2 TDs but they were short yardage runs, not a long screen pass. HTTR4LIFE was correct that Dante Fowler would have a sack (he had 2 in fact), but he didn't strip the ball. And Riggotoni predicted Jeremy Chinn would come up with a fumble for the Washington win. Chinn did recover a fumble (that Quan Martin forced) but it did not result in the win.

Some close ones this time, but no cigar.

Make your 'Key to the Game' prediction for the Eagles game.

The defense shocks the world and makes a 4th down stop (non-"Tush Push" play. BTW, I always call that play the "Tush Push" because I know Eagles fans hate that name.) to win the game. Yes, this is the game it happens.

Get your Eagles game key in - I want to give away some of these classic and very cool Redskins key rings!

for the philly game has to be limiting the long passing plays and getting to hurts.
