Did anyone check out the Seahawks final schedule?

LA Rams are going to win the NFC West.

Not only does Seattle have to play the Packers and Vikings but they also face the Rams in the final game of the season. The Rams beat them earlier in the season in Week 9, so hold an edge right now.

I've been trying to tell people that here for a couple days now but they seem to be so hyper focused on the rams storming back they have missed the Seahawks having the same record as us.

Seahawks are probably going to be our main competition for the last wildcard spot and I'd like to see the packers beat them Sunday to improve our chances.

I think it’s going to be either or, which I want both of them to lose. :)

Though 11 gets us in regardless. And I want 11 wins. But I also want no pressure to get to 11 against the Cowboys in the finale.

I couldn't agree more and that's why I want the packers to win Sunday.
If the seahawks lose 2 of their next 3 and we win 2 of our next 3 that last game for them with the rams could be winner take all for the division with the loser out and depending on what the falcons and bucs do we may not need to win versus the cowboys to get in.
 
I want to get into the playoffs and have a chance to in all likelihood face and beat the #2 seed, Philadelphia, (it could be Minnesota too with Detroit on a bye as the #1 seed).

BUT preparatory to that I really want to see this team haul off and kick the pants off Dallas.

I want to embarrass the Cowboys on what will likely be a national TV game and give McCarthy and Co. the proper send off to the offseason where they can all wonder if they will have jobs in 2025 :eclipsee-victoria:
 
Someone who tracks this better than me break down what we need to know.

And that’s not the worst outcome in the world for a full rebuild that’s ahead of schedule. You need to instill winning and the expectation of it in your locker room, and to be able to show proof of concept to them when it comes to the new culture. We’ll have that and be more resilient for it, it’s an intangible but important part of building this franchise back up. We’ve talked for over a decade now, as a fanbase, about having a roster full of losers who only know losing—who aren’t upset enough when they don’t win, who don’t feel like they SHOULD be expected to win. This is how you change that.

Would it have been more “normal” to start slow and earn a top-5 pick again while showing potential and win more games each year until we’re contenders, with better draft resources in the meantime? Sure, but teams don’t always steadily get better. It doesn’t always stick. It’s rarely linear. Better to give the locker room a taste of winning early and set higher expectations. You can do that with a straight face when you go from 2nd overall pick to 10-11 wins in one season, even if it’s not pretty. You have street cred, you can more easily sell FA’s, you can point to your success.

A playoff berth in year 1 is huge for this regime and for Jayden Daniels’ confidence and his adjustment to the NFL spotlight. And for his credibility as a locker room leader and tone-setter. Yes, even if they lose handily to a better team.
 
It’s really all about the QB learning this year. Always has been. If he gets a taste of legitimate playoff football in his first year that will be invaluable and totally unexpected.
 
I don’t think we can catch the Packers. They win tonight, they have the Bears and Saints + a tough game against the Vikings.

Looks like they’ll win tonight. So they’re most likely getting to 12 wins. To even get to 11 they’d have to lose to either the saints or bears and I find that unlikely.

So the best we can hope for is the 7th seed.

With that said, the Packers beating the Seahawks today is good for us. That will drop them to 6 losses.

Both the Rams and Seahawks would then have 6 losses, and they play each other in the last game of the season. Which means one of them will absolutely have 7 losses.

Seahawks have Vikings at home, then @Bears before closing at the Rams.

The only game they might be favored in is @Bears.

The Rams have go to the Jets next week, home to the Cardinals, then host the Seahawks.

If I had to guess right now, the Seahawks will end up 9-8. Loss tonight, vs Vikings and Rams. I think they’re last game if the season will matter for the Rams, so they’re going to try and win, and quite frankly, they are a better team and better coached.

Rams will end up 11-6.i think they’re going to win out.

If it plays out that way, no other team can get to 10.

So we MIGHT be able to have a meaningless game week 18 if we can win one of the next 2.

Also, saints were eliminated from the wild card tonight. The best they can do is get to 9 wins, and we have 9 wins and the tie breaker against them. Assuming the Pack hold on, they’ll have 10, and the Vikings have 12.

Saints could still win the division but that’s probably going to become moot next week.

We want the Raiders to beat the Falcons tomorrow night. That essentially ends their season.

Good breakdown.

I've been racking my brain trying to contemplate scenarios and I don't see too many that don't get us in with one more win.

The falcons have the easiest 4 game closeout in national football league history so if we only get one more win it could be critical that it's against them.

As far as the rams and seahawks I'm not an expert at tie breaking but I can't find many scenarios where we get to ten wins
And we Don't hold the tie breaker against whoever loses that division, as far as I can tell the only thing that could screw us is if the seahawks and rams both win their next two games and tie each other in week 18, that would put both of them at 10-6-1 and the loser of the division would have a better winning percentage than us but that's a highly unlikely scenario.
 
Yesterday’s win puts us in great shape imho…. Going into yesterdays game I had us winning 3 of the last 4 with the only loss to the Eagles… but after the showing against a 5-8 Saints team I’m a bit concerned with the Falcons game (which Cousins will we get) he’s been up and down so much this season but when up he’s very dangerous… and we all hate to say this but the Cowboys game isn’t a easy task either… they already beat us and there’s nothing better on the table for them to possibly end our cinderella season too. That being said if they can take care of their business on their own and come out Sunday and beat the Eagles and then turn around and beat the Falcons the following week then they will be in… and listen despite yesterdays game I can’t see the Eagles going into the playoffs not losing a game in over 10-11 weeks… they’re due for a loss right? Why not this week
 
I think the Eagles are ripe for the picking. They aren't afraid of us - they've handled us with relative ease already this season. They are riding high trying to win their 11th straight (they haven't lost since dropping a road game in Tampa Bay in Week 4!). And their only home loss in 2024 was by a single point against the visiting Falcons way back in Week 2. Could set up nicely as a 'trap game' for those reasons.

One thing - Washington could still win the NFL East. For that to happen, Philadelphia would have to lose out with Washington winning out. We would split our head to head with Philly in that scenario, which would make records vs. NFC East opponents the 2nd tie-breaker. We would end up with 2 NFC East losses (Philly and Dallas) with the Eagles having 3 NFC East losses (they are perfect so far in 2024 against division opponents, but losing out would see them going down to their last 3 opponents, all NFC East teams).

We win out, they lose out, we are NFC East champs. As unlikely as that scenario is, it's a scenario, and I'm sure the coaches will be aware of that and not having locked up the NFC East title makes the game meaningful for them. A win guarantees the Eagles the NFC East title.

Someone please correct me if you think that's wrong, but I'm pretty sure I have this right.

Seattle losing last night more or less handed the 7-seed to Washington, barring a collapse by the Skins. I don't see Seattle doing any better than 2-1 down the stretch...and even that would be impressive. So, unless Washington loses all 3 of its final games, I see it coming down to tie-breakers (at worst).
 
Commanders are in with one more win and one Atlanta loss. Only exception to that is the Seahawks and Rams both going 2-0 then tieing each other in week 18. Chances of that are probably <1%.
 
Sports talk radio here, topic earlier today was "the over/under for Kirk's interceptions tonight".
I almost ran off the road 🤣.
 
Did anyone see the bogus roughing the passer call late in the Falcons Raiders game? The Raiders would have been getting the ball back with about 2:30 left. Instead they got it back with 1:50 left and no timeouts. More terrible officiating in a late game situation.

I know it’s going to come down to the week 17 game against Altanta, but a loss tonight would have been a little more insurance.
