Fromm looked good in the preseason. What would be ironic is for Fromm to get released and then get picked up by the Cardinals and we see him on the other side of the field in the opener.

Actually kind of surprised by this, but it basically has to lock in Alex Armah right? We may actually be running a FB this year.
 
Translation: Bieniemy is confident the team can find a #4 running back if there are injuries by poaching another team's practice squad or signing a street free agent.

I think three running backs makes sense partly because of the way the NFL has deemphasized the running game, but also because we've seen in recent years that if you do get injuries you can sign a street running back and plug and play without losing that much effectiveness. Not fair, but not unreasonable to assume you can always get a running back.

I'm a little more surprised by Fromm. There must have really been a discrepancy in practice because in the games, Fromm looked much better than Driscoll.

Fair, i just thought the Bieniemy connection may carry weight.

Also, i'm wondering if we carry less WRs with the idea that our RBs will be a major part of the pass game

Good question. I think you may be onto something especially if Bienemy does believe in high usage not only of rbs, but tight ends in the passing game. If we play more two te sets or at least fewer four wr sets, then you can get away with fewer wrs. Still, I think six ought to be the number.
 
Tight ends as we have seen are often the PRIMARY receivers in Reid designed offenses in Philly and KC.

I think Turner is going to have a big season if he stays healthy.

I agree the other guy to watch is Antonio Gibson. He has the speed and open field ability to line up in the slot and just burn defenses down the field.

With McLaurin and Dotson on the outside there is no way Gibson doesn't get a favorable matchup.

I think the question has to be asked, is that a design of the offense to spotlight them, or is it because Reid has routinely had some of the best TEs in football, so he designs the offense to take advantage of that because of the personnel?

Travis Kelce may be the best recieving TE to ever touch an NFL field.

Zack Ertz was routinely a top 5 TE in the league when he was with Reid.

Again, I think the question can be asked... is that because of Reid's offense, or did he adapt his offense because of their abilities?
 
Mildly surprised by Fromm, very surprised with Gore (especially after they put Williams on IR).

Allen was everyone’s TC crush but he wasn’t good enough as a returner to justify keeping him just for that when it became clear he wasn’t ready to contribute as a WR.
