Now that’s a real Donnybrook. What happened in training camp was more of a kerfuffle.

Dirty Rat Birds. I don’t mind fights in training camp, nor in joint practices, but there were a couple of cheap shots that went beyond the typical hand slapping and pushing and chest bumping of most fights. I think the rat birds are feeling a bit threatened that the news around this team has turned positive and it’s not all negative. So they wanted to try and bully the team to show they are boss. It shows a lot of insecurity but they have disappointed the last few years, so I get why they are so insecure.

Well, they take their cues from their head coach. The Harbaughs have always been overly aggressive hotheads. What is irritating about it is that there is no doubt that parameters (like no cheap shots and keeping skirmishes after plays to a minimum) we’re no doubt agreed upon and yet it happened numerous times. That’s the kind of play where Rivera should have ended the proceedings right there. Maybe they should find a team that has some actual class to do joint practices in the future.
