2014 NCAA Football Season

I love that Auburn lost today to a team that Bama ROLLED 59-0 & I canNOT wait to see all those disappointed Auburn fans at work on Monday. Loving it! They got beat by a True Freshman. Hahahahahahaha Roll Tide Roll!

Not trying to convince anyone of anything, brother.

Not even ESPN will acknowledge the point shaving nonsense.

So we're left with a kid who stole crab legs, and who yelled something in a cafeteria?

That's pretty light.......just saying......

From what I've gathered, the biggest issue with him is he is immature & not seeming to grow up very quickly. His Draft value has probably dropped a bit for the simple reason that teams aren't necessarily going to want the drama. However, someone WILL draft him with the intent & expectation of "fixing" that. We'll see. Only time will tell.

Bspn..as they are called too is not anywhere near the moral compass anyone should use.

About Winston...

Stealing crab legs - Yeah, he did that.
Sexual assault - No. And it is not even close.
Point shaving - No. Stupid allegation.

If we go with the idea of not drafting problem children, then Breeland is not even given a sniff.

All that being said, we stay with No. 10 and don't regret it. Gimme those OL and DL in the draft.

No comparison between Breeland and Wintson. Breeland was a fourth rounder. He came in here as a backup and had to earn his spot, which he has done. He's in the process of proving himself at the pro level. Williams, since his idiocy early on, has also done nothing but proven his value over several years since.

DeSean Jackson was a risk when he was signed and most of us knew it. So far so good. But the reason some people liked his signing (not me, mind you) was because his contract was relatively modest considering his production.

Winston ... dude's going to go in the first round, command a ton of money and be expected to lead a team as a Franchise QB. There is a BIG difference between that and taking a flyer on a guy in the fourth round. Or picking a dude up off the scrap heap. Or giving a guy some latitude after three years of keeping his nose clean (literally.)

If we get Winston in the fourth round and stick him on the bench behind our starter until he proves himself, I doubt anyone would object to that. Making him the face of the team? Big difference.

ANyway, I didn't come here to talk about that. I was wondering if anyone saw the Utah-Oregon game. :)

Breeland was rated much higher in the draft, but his stock diminished due to all of the "extra curriculars".

I did see it...and the "DeSean Jackson" move that kid did. I just don't get why you cant hold the ball for one more yard at least. You have about 10 before you hit the back of the end zone. Run in until all you see is EZ and THEN be an idiot!!!

Just like DeSean, I bet he never does that again.

The line has dropped all the way down to only 1 1/2 points in the FSU-Miami game.

This could be the week they finally lose. Should be a great one.

I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in the Polls as they continue to raise Oregon in the top 4. They lost to an unranked team, how are they even in there with rest? They leap-frogged over Alabama a while ago & that makes NO sense to me at all. If anyone should be where Oregon is, I think it should be TCU.

Agreed on the Oregon nonsense. It seems like they do that every year--elevate some BS team who plays no one. Usually it's Ohio State.

On another note, there are some incredible games this weekend in both college and the NFL. A lot of the best teams are playing each other.

And El, this should make you happy. FSU just signed the top QB prospect in the country this season, and they just signed the top QB prospect in the country in the class of 2016 as well. I really had no idea that juniors in HS could even declare.

Yeah McD5...I like that Jimbo is bringing in the top talent...and will continue to do so. Good to be a Seminole right now.

As for the Miami upset? I think we win this one but the disgusting pigs at UF surprise us as we look past them to a playoff.

It will be something if we end up going undefeated again. We crush Oregon, but Alabama is the sleeper here.

I was not that impressed with FSU in the UVa matchup. They should've thrashed Virginia but the Hoo's were in it most of the way (and they have NO QB). Maybe that was just a bad outing for FSU, don't know?

Btw, Brian, my son just got accepted into FSU (he wants to be a music education major and apparently they have a highly regarded program).

Alabama has a tough game this weekend against number one.

This Miami game concerns me.

FSU has a very highly rated music department.

As to football, they seem this year to want to make every game interesting. And that qb that UVA doesn't have? He threw three of the sweetest passes I've seen this season.

That was the worst career game for Winston. But UVA looked pretty good to me. They have a corner or two that will play on Sundays, and the WRs looked pretty capable.

He's pretty inconsistent Chris. UVA has a pretty solid defense and that probably contributed to FSU's mediocre showing. We lack speed at a number of key positions though, especially at wideout. I just wasn't impressed as I expected to be at any level. But it was just one game.

To be honest, John, they haven't been impressive overall this year. A lot of slow starts and coming from behind.

But they are pretty good in the only stat that matters.

Tallahassee Police issued FSU DB P.J. Williams two traffic tickets despite being involved in a hit-and-run, which is a criminal act.

Williams was also driving with a suspended license.

I've been pulled over for driving on a suspended license (not sure I believe "unknowingly") and they usually just give you a ticket and impound your car until you get a licensed driver to pay for it and get it out. But the hit and run...
