Maybe a WR if we can get a good one at a reasonable rate.

Jeremy Maclin
Riley Cooper (That is a dangerous gamble, but he has been solid this season)

We need a center. Almost all respectable ratings of our offensive line show that it's the middle of our line that sucks.

You're not going to replace the entire O line in one offseason. They don't grow on trees, and you can't draft a lineman every round. It just doesn't work that way.

Bringing in a center would be a huge game changer. In addition, if you get a smart one, he can become a critical on-the-field tool for Griffin.

I'd love to see us bring in a DT that can cause havoc in whatever system we wind up with, but I'm not convinced the best way to do that is free agency. Maybe I'm just suffering from the Haynesworth Effect though.

This team needs to pick up 1 impact player on both sides of the ball in free agency this year. Someone that can hold us over while we draft young guys to grow. We can't go nuts, but we need to hit it big on at least 1 guy on each side - big like we hit on Garcon.

A RT that can be had for cheap will be on the market soon. He grades out as a first rounder and could be had for a sixth or seventh rounder. We have a good locker room and he would fit in nicely and solve our problems in the "TyPo" position. Yes, it is none other than Jonathan Martin. Seriously, we need to make that move when he becomes available.

Richie Incognito will be a Free Agent, as well.
Don't you want to grab him, as well ? :p

luv to have jacoby jones ...as a receiver and punt returner if they let him go ! big IF

Isn't Jones-Drew a FA too? Wouldn't mind him running back kicks for us. Take McAfee for Rocca too.

We need two starting safeties. If we can get one in FA, and one between Thomas and Rambo, that would help the D as much as anything. Whether we stay 3-4, or revert back to 4-3.

And, as hard as it may be, if we don't continue to predominantly use the ZBS on offense, every lineman to the right of Trent Williams needs to be replaced. Montgomery would make a good backup. We need two from FA, and two from the draft. Or maybe the next coach will find one sitting on our bench/practice squad.

Can any of the listed punters also serve as KO specialist? That's what I'd be looking for.

Whether it's in the draft or FA we have to snag some D-line. Most disruptive/mayhem creating individual possible. Soleil maybe?

My offseason preference would be use this whole draft for o-line and pass catchers while using FA for the defense. Try to go 1-2 yr contracts to hopefully get the D playing for pay days. Then next season we use that first rounder (yay) on a CB and then plug the rest of that side.

I won't have a list of wants until I have a list of coaches and have some idea what scheme we are playing. Not putting the cart in front of the horse.

To be honest, I am hoping for a return to something closer to Gibbsian football. I loved our identity in the 80's and want to go back to it.

Resign: Orakpo, Riley
Key FA additions: Byrd or Ward, Austin Howard, solid CB (e.g. Vontae Davis), Alex Mack, solid OG (e.g Shawn Lauvao), stopgap CB (e.g. Tracy Porter or Hall if he gives us a hometown discount)

Draft:
2nd: Safety (maybe trade down)
3rd: OG
4th: OLB43 (assumes we switch back)
5th: WR (slot, PR and / or KR)
6th, 7th: BPA/ST (e.g. LBs)

What about RT? I think that is the weakest link on our team.

OK, I did not know who he was to be honest.

No worries. Not as well known as say Tyson Clabo but he's younger and hopefully he'll be less to sign with his best years ahead of him. Remains to be seen - but I agree that RT is a major issue.

I was thinking a chance on Saffold from St Louis would be worth the risk. But I like Breno Giacomini in Seattle, if his solid play isn't solely as a result of being on a solid OL across the board.

Clabo is too old.

I definitely would not mind seeing Alex Mack get paid here. But if he is too pricey, I like De La Puenta in NO.

Agree on all fronts.
