2012 Free agent game

I don’t want to dwell on the game this past weekend. So let’s play a little game.

I think we should resist the urge to deviate from our youth movement plans here in DC. That said it’s foolish not to take a look at the available free agents for next year and see if any of them could help us. Face it folks, we are likely to have to overpay if we want to make a run at one of the premium guys, but that’s one thing we might be in the position to do thanks to Dan’s cash. .

Let’s take a look at a list of top free agents for 2012, their position and age. I know some of these guys will be top priorities for their own team to re-sign and I’m guessing we’ll want to re-sign a couple of our own Fred Davis (who isn’t on this list), Fletcher and Landry. Maybe you don’t think so. Let’s have your top 2 and why.

Assuming we draft a rookie QB who will most likely start on day one, I'd go with Dwayne Bowe so he has a proven target to throw to. Other than that I'd stick to re-signing Landry/Fletcher/Davis.

Terribly because of the accuracy of that statement. It's been that way for years, IMO.

The problem is, how many of those players will be willingly let go by their respective teams without doing their damndest to make sure they get re-signed? Maybe 7 or 8?

The other question is, how many of them will actually WANT to come to the Skins with the shape we're in, and their current team likely looking much more promising ?

Grubbs has experience playing with Chris Chester, who seems to be one of the few OL doing well this year...at least from what I can tell.

actually Chester hasnt been very good, he gets pushed around on short yards, gets no pop in the run game at all and looked like a turnstile in at least 2 games in pass pro. He simply isnt a very good Olineman.
