***2009-2010 Winter Weather Thread***

Starting to really come down hard here in Alexandria. A lot of wind too.

Just went into D.C to do some stuff. Why the hell are people doing 4mph on 95? Seriously if you can't drive in snow, stay indoors please.

i was just on the road in montgomery county between olney and rockville, no one else is crazy enough to be out there besides snow pushing personnel. roads aren't that bad, but it's blowing sideways -- seems as though it will pile up as predicted...

The wind is getting bad here, says 26mph right now according to the weather add on for Firefox. Does indeed sound like the roof is ready to come off. Power went off for a split second as well.

Wind was bad last night. Woke up this morning to news that lower end of town is flooded. No one expected this.

Man that's not good, especially considering this isn't going to stop till tonight. Still coming down just as hard as it was last night, wind has died down thankfully, but still get 24mph gusts every now and then.

Shortly going to a buddy's house to get his cars out to higher ground. Next two high tides could be worse...plus rain now changing to snow here.

I just got in from working, been out there working since 6:30 last night. I had every intention to stay out until the snow stopped, but I couldn't do it. I gotta get some sleep and head back out at about 5 when it is supposed to be over.

From midnight to 6 was the worst! We got almost 18 inches at my location in Baltimore City in 6 hours. I have never seen anything like it! When I left the job site we were running out of place to put the snow after we move it.

Left 9pm, right 10am today, this is my house here in Annandale:

Haha Riggins. It'll be nice to get warm, I hate cold D.C United and Nationals games.

31 inches of global warming in my yard

Day 3 with no power here in NC :( hoping to get it back on by Super Bowl time or we may have to abandon ship!

Uh...Boone, I sure hate to mention this,...but Raleigh is clear, finally snow-free, and humming along nicely as though nothing had happened. Hope you get to a working TV shortly. :)

customa just told me we should brace for "accumulating snow". maybe another 10 inches on tue...

i'm soo disappointed, sarge, i lob you a softball with my '10-inch' comment, and you don't even take a swing :betterwink2:
