    Default En Garde to an anonymous film legend

    This guy was behind some of the greatest swordfights in motion picture history. If you've ever swashbuckled or light sabred you owe this guy a tip o' the hat. RIP.

    Bob Anderson's first silver screen fencing pupil was Errol Flynn. The British Olympian went on to become a go-to teacher, film fight director and fencing choreographer for movies including 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Star Wars.'

    He was simply amazing and helped to revolutionize this aspect of the film industry. Some would put him in the category of "stuntman", but this was a craft that few could master. When you look back at what Lucas did with the Star Wars films, it was obvious that he employed the services of the best of the best in each endeavor, including Anderson.
