    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Yeah, Joey Bosa has had lots of injury issues, but if he's relatively cheap I could see us giving him a 1 year contract to see if he can stay healthy.

Worthy was also their most productive receiver this past season. The other options were a washed up Hopkins and a mediocre Justin Watson. I think the point VoR was making is that having a speedster along with another legit WR option could help a lot. KC didn't have that other legit option.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

Is he demanding it or are they putting him on the block themselves? If it's the latter it seems like it's a strange move, considering that we only had to put up a 5th rounder for Deebo. Mecalf is a couple years younger but also had only a so-so season last year. I'd give up a 2nd or 3rd for him.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

Deebo is one of those guys who plays faster than he times. He ran a pretty decent 40 of 4.48 at the combine, but when you watch him he looks like a 4.3 dude.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

I say if Deebo balls out, give him a good 2-3 year deal. That way we give JD as many weapons as possible while we can take advantage of his rookie contract window Assuming JD's trajectory stays the same, he's going to get the biggest contract in NFL history and it will be more difficult after...

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

But how do we know he's a stop gap? Sure, it would be great to have a young WR who ends up a stud, but who is that for us? Deebo just turned 29 so it's not like he's some washed up mid 30s receiver. He's actually younger than Terry is, but we're not going to be getting rid of Terry. As long as...

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

If he balls out and is playing great, why would we want a compensatory 3rd round pick vs. keeping a top notch WR? I mean, sure, if he wants a top 3 WR contract then that's a bit different. But if he's looking for around top 10 to top 15 money why not?

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

I'm not suggesting we shouldn't use him that way. I'm just stating that I believe that was part of his gripe when he reportedly asked SF for a trade a couple of years ago.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

I don't have anything to back this up at the moment, but wasn't being overused as a RB one of the reasons that Deebo was a bit malcontent in SF a while back and apparently was asking for a trade?

Yep, not really interested in Josh Sweat. I think he's a decent pass rusher who is helped a lot by the surrounding talent on that DL. He's probably going to be asking for top 5 pass rusher money, but he's not even close to that category IMO.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

I'd definitely take Kirk, but I would put him outside as #2 and then mostly play Deebo in the slot. Deebo is known as a shifty YAC monster and playmaker, not so much a great outside WR and route runner. IMO he's a guy you use inside and try to create mismatches with LBs in coverage, etc.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

True, a lot of this really does depend on how they feel about Coleman. If they like his potential and believe he can become a top notch LT with work then it probably wouldn't make sense to spend big money on a guy like Stanley and they'd likely look for more solid guys who can come in and...

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that Wagner is suddenly going to get teams offering him some big contract. He's a future HoFer but he's still 34 years old.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I think where we focus in FA just depends on the quality of available talent. We need help in the trenches and receiver. I also don't think they're mutually exclusive, we should be able to sign high quality guys without having to reset the market for the position. Neglecting WR would be just as...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I'd consider going after Davante Adams if he gets released. Yeah he just turned 32, but he clearly still has plenty left in the tank. Even with a 90 year old Rodgers he still put up some good numbers last year.

I agree about Jackson being a good target, but I'd be pretty shocked if the Rams let him hit the FA market.

    The 2025 Draft Thread

From what I've read, there was an incident in 2023 where he was arrested, but it was for speeding and not having a valid registration or something. It wasn't drugs. I don't think there's been anything outside of that incident, so I feel like the "major character concerns" thing may be a bit...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I'm not sure about Coleman. He had a 64.8 pass blocking grade from PFF, which isn't dreadful, but from watching him this season he seemed to give up a lot of pressures when he was up against good pass rushers, especially speed guys. That doesn't mean he can't improve, but I'd be surprised if...

    The 2025 Draft Thread

Darnold is trash and anyone who pays big bucks for him is dumber than hell. He found his way onto a team with an extremely good play caller who could mostly mask his glaring weaknesses, and a great supporting cast. As soon as the bright lights came on and he got flustered he turned into the...
