If Giants pass on Love, he may be there for the taking. He is an offensive weapon that would do more for JD and this offense than Tate could ever do. Finger’s crossed.
Giants have the “luxury” to draft RB at #5 with the 10th pick looming. I think it’s set in stone if he is there. Love + Downs would be great for them, brutal for us.
I don’t think there is non-D player you can take at #7 (in that scenario, also assuming Love is gone), so no real choice but to neglect QB/OC. I wouldn’t call it purposeful, if the chips fall that way. They could still draft best available WR in round 3, or perhaps move up late round 2 to get one.
KDawg - if Tate goes before #7, then what is your position then? Stay at #7 and take the next best WR? Trade down a few spots and take a WR? Go in a different direction at #7? Just curious on your thoughts.
Agreed on not helping JD or the offense. It’s not ideal. However, it may be better currently structured than last year based on a new system (emphasis on run game and play-action) and adding Chig. A full year of Burks is better than Noah Brown. I get it - the goal is not just to be a little...
