    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

The second trade calculator factors in the cap hits within the trade. If they gain 2nd, 3rd, 7th (wipe out fourths), they are 3 cap hits that barely alter the cap over a 4 year period. I agree that the 7th isn't really much. 3rd rounder (79) and 2nd (64th - hopefully), is about a mid 2nd from...

Yeah, I was only talking about this specific trade, but won't pretend they didn't use it all well.

My brain went here first... What did the Saints trade for Ricky Williams? The Saints traded their first round, third round, fourth round, fifth round, sixth round, and seventh round picks in the 1999 NFL Draft, and their first-round and third-round picks from the 2000 NFL draft to the...

Trying to expand beyond the usual Jimmy Johnson value chart, I've been trying to look at Fitzgerald-Spielberger Draft Value Chart. They seem to be about opposites from all the things I've seen...

I'm curious how the run stats are calculated. If a player collapses the pocket and a linebacker tackles a RB for a 1 yard gain (behind said player), does that count as a miss? I'm not paid to evaluate any players, but I find DTs particularly hard to compare. I get why Aaron Donald was a...

https://overthecap.com/compensatory-picks Allen wasn't a FA, so he isn't part of the formula. This overthecap page tracks things pretty well. It's not 100% accurate on final picks, but they have mirrored the actually results pretty well historically. Also, we have many bodies needed, so I...

Signing bonus and bases are listed, but there isn't much on incentives, no mentions of voids.... The initial details are from agents, and I'm sure they swing the numbers to show how awesome they are at representing. If the deal is closer to 3/36, with 1 mill likely to get incentives and 2...

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

As long as he can stay healthy, he should be a good addition. I do wonder if they do something with extending or just take the single year and see how he meshes. I wasn't too excited at the thought of Deebo, but for a 5th is worth a shot. Cheering him on 100% now.

Current Cap 78 Just a spit balling exercise, I generally like to make up an example of how much we could do in an offseason. I generally hate to use up all the cap space, but with Daniels rookie contract, I went a bit extra this year. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2025-nfl-free-agent-rankings (I...

Josh Harris Speaks... Commanders is permanent name.

Count me on the disappointed list. However, if I'm being honest I'm not much of a market. I sit here in my TM, Scary Terry hoodie that I bought to support the players and not Synder. I have nothing commanders and nothing washington football. Don't see that changing anytime soon. My lack...

    Kingsbury back

I was wondering if they'd try and find a role for Al Harris after rejection last year, but I see he went to the bears. Makes sense as there wasn't necessarily an opening.

I'm not sure why we'd offer 6 million if it just offsets. That happens in baseball with waiver pickups and new teams always pay the minimum. I don't know with nfl coaches, but I feel like the commanders would have offered less if that's true.

Also, seeing he signed 3yr/18 mill with commanders. 20% drop is significant, but he's not hurting.

He has Arizona paying him until 2027 (from what I'm seeing online), 7.5 million per year. He's got a great gig with Daniels. He should be picky.

Official Game Thread - NFC CHAMPIONSHIP - Commanders @ Eagles

Team was out played today, turnovers really hurt. I was screaming internally for Brown to get down on the first. Could see it coming. Ekelar on the 2nd didn't even seem to get hit that bad. Tough, tough, tough. Refs weren't out to get us, I don't think anyone is saying that. But...

    Dan Snyder - Fugitive?

The article may not have a lot of evidence, however it's very easy to see the character flaws from all the years and make the leap. Regardless, I hope he does hate it.
