    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Well Ty Simpson is one of 16 prospects attending the draft, so maybe he’s on a promise somewhere.

That confirms its then, back we go.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

I’d personally like to see AP play the draft and dispel this track record. We hired a draft savvy and creative GM, right?

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Give me a first no lower than #16, and an extra couple of day 2 picks and I’m trading out. The only expectation being that Love is sat there at he’s 100% going to have a Derrick Henry type career. Way too much hype on this draft class. The brave move is to bail out, not pick a ‘clean’...

Next years draft in DC ? Without a first rounder…. And remember, we are not allowed to trade Payne. VoR won’t allow that….

Can see the Jags being in on a trade there.

The spear is a fail. Maybe testing the water by just adding to the alternate helmet to gauge fan reaction.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

I’m also taking elite talent if it’s there at #7. Is there really that much elite talent this year. That currently seems very debatable. Interesting all the same.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Perhaps a lack of trust in the FO decision making is influencing the must stay at #7 line. I could see that. Let’s get out of here with a pick at #7 that you almost can’t flunk on……

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

I’d question the volume of ‘blue chip’ players to be honest. The more the discussion goes, some people are filtering guys out left right and centre, whilst others may be convincing themselves players would be ‘alright’ at #7. I think the talk that the majority of the top 7 would like to bail...

Yeah, most on here would. I get that.

#16 #33 and #44 would be my starting point with the Jets. If they want to move up badly enough, that would be my ask.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Got a good chance of getting into the top 4 using those 2 picks and maybe a bit of change.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Yeah question marks over intensity is definitely a valid reason for concern, especially at #7, would probably be considered a deal breaker for me. Not saying Styles is made that way, but some of the assessment in here might be leading that way?

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

These posts about Styles aren’t selling him that well to me now. Plays a bit safe, plays a bit soft? Not great traits.

Theres is no chance you should throw that kind of money at Jennings.

So you stay at #7 and select who another teams values more than you…?? Erm, ok, I guess.
