Next season will tell us a lot about whether that 28-3 debacle in the SB was symptomatic of something more serious. All the Stephen Covey-like psychobabble about "space" aside, I do wonder how patient AP will be with DQ. Pete Carroll is a damn good coach, a complete coach, the type who makes...
DQ will take preseason more seriously next year. There was no excuse for JD5 being so off to start the season. I get it that facing a Whitt defense probably gave our guys a delusional sense of preparedness, but we were getting stymied by bad defenses and torched by mediocre offenses all season...
Kliff had fun last year when DCs had no idea what he'd be doing with JD5 and the O, and no tell on tendencies. Now they know, and it's quite easy to defend. Few things have rehabilitated struggling Ds this season like facing our O.
Teams drive too easily on us. Middle of the field is like some kind of Bermuda Triangle for our D. Everybody exploits it. That Denver drive in OT was a case in point. That was way too easy (and FAST).
Yeah, AngryChuckT it wasn't his fault when he was drafted or how he was (mis)used by the regime that drafted him or underestimated by the one that shipped him out. He was completely professional while here.
There's an active (thus far effective) media campaign to promote Forbes. All the tweets and articles aren't happenstance.
I'm happy the kid has found greener pastures and better coaching, and hope his continued development & performance stay on an upward trajectory. He was put in a position to...
There's just no way Kitchens should've been elevated to OC at UNC. It shows very clearly. Sure there's a taken deficiency, but Kitchens and crew aren't helping much. I don't know what BB was thinking.
Yeah, the kid is truly special. But just like you said, it seemed like all the bounces went our way last season (and thankfully the doinks, too, Mr. Gonzalez :)).
Last year was lightning in a bottle. We made an incredible run with a bunch of JAG wideouts (plus a #2 who thinks he's Jerry Rice). The defense was bad, but the #5-led O was just phenomenal. And Kliff seemingly came back from Thailand on a mission.
What AP needs to figure out is whether this...

It does remind me a lot of Jeremiah Trotter. The skills that made him a coveted FA were largely unused/not featured by our coaching staff. Instead of attacking, he was asked to be a read-and-react guy. That wasn't his game. Ever.
