  1. Random Commanders Thoughts

Perry Riley out for 3-6 weeks with a broken foot. Needs surgery. The hits keep on coming. We need all the help we can get and having him out while he's been so solid is going to hurt our already miserable run defense.
  2. Redskins Recon - The Cowboys: Trouble at the O.K. Corral

I'll add to this list: 4. We can't reliably stop the run (excluding recent Giants game) and Cowboys OL and Darren McFadden would seriously tear us up 5. We still can't reliably establish the run on offense 6. Our team has not strung together wins this season and has a history of always...
  3. Kirk Cousins Development Tracker

I agree - no need for him to be a perennial top-5 QB as long as the talent around him is solid and the D is dominant.
  4. Kirk Cousins Development Tracker

Sorry if the above has already been posted. I saw it on another board and though it was an interesting take on Cousins' potential.
  5. Kirk Cousins Development Tracker

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dc-sports-bog/wp/2015/12/03/espn-analyst-thinks-kirk-cousins-could-be-the-next-drew-brees/ ESPN analyst thinks Kirk Cousins could be the next Drew Brees By Scott Allen (WaPo - Sports Bog) Former NFL quarterback Danny Kannell has a theory about Kirk Cousins...
  6. Random Commanders Thoughts

Not sure if this is verified, but saw on the thread in this article that they were reassigned to Pats-Eagles. Pete Morelli?s crew yanked from Week 13 Sunday night game | ProFootballTalk Hope its true...
  7. Random Commanders Thoughts

I think they are being re-assigned to a non-prime time game and ours is on Monday night. But still - I agree w/ Fear. Why reassign them? Can you imagine what message that sends to the poor teams who end up getting them on Sunday?
  8. Random Commanders Thoughts

Agree but hope the team still has some fire this upcoming Mon night vs. Dallas. We have done poorly as of late in prime time. Cousins needs to step up.
  9. Random Commanders Thoughts

Further validation, McD. The Pats are smart folks (although I still think they are cheaters). They are always in the mix and the emphasis on D in the draft looks like it's helped build this foundation.
  10. The Gruden Files - Year Two

I would love it if that happened
  11. Kirk Cousins Development Tracker

Baby steps. Kirk is improving. Road game come next.
  12. Kirk Cousins Development Tracker

Kirk did what he needed to do today. So did the team. D came to play. I was impressed.
  13. Random Commanders Thoughts

Fellas ... I feel like this was a huge win for us. Cousins made huge strides even though it was the D that really did the heavy lifting.
  14. Random Commanders Thoughts

Confirms the need to take a top ILB with a pick in the first 3 rounds of the draft next year.
  15. Random Commanders Thoughts

Goaldeje, if they come out flat in this game - that's all on the coaches and the team will need to seriously rethink whether or not Gruden should stay or go.
  16. Skins Quotes 11/27/15: Jay Gruden

Why aren't they putting in DeLaPuente?
  17. Random Commanders Thoughts

I think it's still a little premature to make that call. Kirk has been improving and we don't have enough talent on the team to isolate his play and evaluate whether or not he's "the guy". I will say this, though. I hope Kirk reads that and comes out with a huge chip on his shoulder today. The...
  18. Random Commanders Thoughts

DieselPower44 - I agree re: building the OL, but we unfortunately have a lot of weak areas to fill on this team. I think D needs to take precedence with a little OL sprinkled in and around the draft for good measure (interior OL, particularly C).
  19. Random Commanders Thoughts

If there is a way to grab OL stats from NFL.com (maybe sacks allowed?) to be able to metric "elite" OL, I'll try and do that when I do the RB analysis for Boone.
  20. Random Commanders Thoughts

Being an equivalent of Sean Taylor is a very high bar to clear. I think we should be happy with a safety who is even 70% of the athlete he was. That would make him top 90th percentile of starting NFL safeties and would be an amazing addition to our D.
