    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

In terms of the WR’s, I don’t mind one at 71, and obviously, 3rd round receivers are sometimes super productive(see Terry McLaurin). But I don’t want to roll the dice at giving Jayden an adequate supporting cast. If we take one at 71, I still want to sign or trade for a predictable veteran WR...

If we draft WR at 71, I see us making the mistake of not signing Jennings or another vet.

Next year definitely looks like a WR draft for us. The only way that’s not the obvious desperate need is if we make a surprise trade; or hit big in FA next year.

If we draft a WR in the 3rd, I feel like it’s roster chaos and likely adding another player that we have to develop. I also don’t like the idea, because I think it means we wouldn’t sign anyone else other than Aiyuk. We would have, Terry, Aiyuk, Let’s say, Sarratt or Hurst, Luke, Lane...

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/eli-raridon/32005241-5214-8318-5d09-a0a1ab4f09d7 I also wouldn’t mind this. Who is our backup TE pass catcher if Chig goes down. And he’s young is super athletic by measurement, also moves very well, and was pretty productive.

Wouldn’t mind Slaughter. There are WR’s still available in FA and no centers, essentially.

I’d trade a 2nd for him in a heartbeat. And I don’t think Jax would accept that. BTJ could absolutely play an Alec Pierce role for us. And he’s young, and not too expensive. I don’t know about drafting another 3rd round WR being what we need this year. We need a guy that can step in and play...

Would you trade next year’s pick for BTJ?

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

This is the first year I remember people talking so much about monetary value. Teams rarely spend to the cap and rarely let high end free agents go. I don’t care if we pay a running back, for instance, 20 million if we are still well over the cap. To me it’s more about maximizing resources. How...

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

The thing that makes me nervous about Styles, or one thing, is the miss rate for 1st round linebackers, even when taken high. There are a lot of Devin Bush, Ronald Curry’s out there. I’ll also say that taking Love would help our defense. If we can control the ball, shorten the game and not...

I still think we should move up for Love. Knowing that’s not going to happen, Delane or Tate for me. Also, the offseason isn’t over. I know there has been a lot about not providing Jayden weapons, justifiably after last year. But, the team clearly perceives the need given how hard they went...

Is there a significance to the Jets canceling their predraft meeting with David Bailey?

Neither did Jordan Mailata play football before he was drafted in the 7th. And this guy is a similar caliber special athlete. I’m not even saying we should draft him. If he goes undrafted though? I’d strongly consider signing him.

I would make that trade. Love changes the whole offense.

Has anybody talked about this guy here? Literally has never played a snap of football, but at 6’4” and 309 pounds, ran a 4.63 and jumped 39”.

I wonder if Daron Pay e and next year’s first would get it done, if this issue lingers until after the draft. I also wonder whether giving up next year’s 1st for a 28yo defensive tackle would even make any sense for a team trying to get younger.

(New Poll) The Washington Commanders Brand 2.0: Beer Drinkers and Hail Raisers

Love these. I have zero complaints. Love the uniforms going back to the old school uniforms. They look great. Love the alternate. Looks amazing. I like the spear, but am glad it’s just on the alternate. I wouldn’t change anything. Also, the media and marketing team killed the video. Thank God...

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

I really don’t necessarily feel that Styles is better than Delane. Didn’t allow more than one reception to any receiver last year, in the SEC. Zero TD’s allowed. More passes defensed than 1st downs allowed. Ran a 4.36. Is sticky in coverage. Man/zone versatile. I’d bet NFL teams like him more...
