    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Hmmm so back half of round 1 + hitting the production score + narrative street push down helps identify elite WR. I could see that. Whereas without that extra combo, you end up with more Ridley’s and Flowers type guys. Both groups mixed with similar rate of duds. Interesting.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

It is a massive m difference, but the NFL doesn’t always get it right. I personally was huge on JJ and Lamb (you probably too), especially JJ compared to consensus, and know a lot of other dynasty folks were also. He got penalized because of Chase and even Burrow a bit. I saw a flat out stud...

Dolphins are idiots and should trade them both. By the time they’re any good, Achane will be like 27, less effective and trade value used up. They should go full rebuild and move him also. This is also part of the position value argument in thinking of taking a RB early in the draft. If you have...

Stupid teams do stupid things. There’s no debate to the positional value. All anyone needs to do is look at their salaries. Pretty clear WR >>>>>> RB.

I think the second point mischaracterizes the argument being made by advocates for factoring positional value into drafting an RB at 7. It’s more about salary slotting versus the top of the market for the position. At RB for example, Achane would probably need a 3 year, $60M extension or...

    The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

I have this terrible feeling Love, Tate, Bailey, and Reese (along with Mendoza and a Tackle to Arizona) will all be gone. Here’s my order of preference if that occurs: -trade down and take Lemon or Tyson (awesome) -draft Lemon or Tyson at 7 (yes really) -draft Styles at 7 (cool will be happy)...

Idk man, I’m a fan of this kind of research but your YPRR stat was much more on the nose imo. I don’t see these groupings as all that dissimilar. JSN- elite hit Jefferson- elite hit Lamb- elite hit Buka- hit Jeudy- bust Hollywood- bust Bateman- bust Burks- mega bust Versus BTJ- hit or maybe...

It’s pucks TO the net. It’s their way of saying shoot more, hope for deflections, rebounds etc. sort of all encompassing. Its still basic but not quite as brain dead.

It’s not far off except Payton is actually a fantastic coach. He’s constantly falling in love with guys like Adam Trautman, Taysom Hill, Lil Jordan Humphrey, Greg Dulcich, reverse uno Marvin Mims…he used to be adept at this aspect also and it resulted in Jimmy Graham, Marques Colston, Sproles...

It’s because Sean Payton is an arrogant prick who doesn’t understand trade value or market value contracts and constantly oversteps his coaching expertise to lock down players he gets infatuated with.Unfortunately he’s a good enough coach that he frequently finds *most* of his way out of the...

If Ridley hits the market he’d actually be a pretty good fit for a sacrificial X role. He can still make a downfield play or two as well. Professional receiver who can take the top off may be the best we can do. He most likely doesn’t get cut until after the draft, too. Gives us a chance to see...

It’s a fun debate and thought process, but it’s ultimately pointless imo. There’s almost no chance they are both available to us to choose from. I’m just hoping one of them will still be there and sprint to the podium if so. I’m not sure which I’d choose tbh. Can easily see both sides.

Maybe they’re out on Jennings now. I know he’s a slot guy but he has played outside some too. Maybe it decreases their appetite.

Lemon over Tyson for me definitely. And if it really is to be a Lions style offense, Lemon is a pretty damn good knock off of ARSB. I’d much prefer Love or Tate but if they’re both gone, trading back a couple spots and grabbing Lemon is pretty solid. Maybe get an extra 3rd out of it. And if...

Think we can surmise that AP had White, Chig, and Aiyuk in mind as high confidence signings. So he focused on fixing the defense, and took some higher swings like Pierce, Doubs, Linderbaum, and Likely knowing he can draw a line and fall back on these options without totally tanking the offense...

Good signing. Versatile guy, doesn’t preclude us from drafting Love, leaves room for Bill to grow if we don’t get Love, and he’s a legit NFL back. That’s my minimum requirement for the skill positions because we had some sub-pro level guys taking snaps last year at different spots. I want to aim...

I mean, what’s he gonna say? I’m an aging receiver who depends on elite speed and last time you saw me, my knee was glued on sideways so it’s gonna be sec? Was a catastrophic knee injury, not the garden variety type.

Also looks like Sean Tucker can be had still. He’s tendered but there’s no compensation, just a right to match any offer sheet he receives. I’d make a play for sure. Easily my top RB remaining.
