  1. C-A-P-S

Another great win by the Caps. Beating Chicago is a big deal, beating them 6-0 is FANTASTIC!!! This team is playing so well now. If you haven't been watching them, please tune in on Sunday at 1 to watch them play Philly. Lastly, don't judge a team solely on whether they win the big prize...
  2. C-A-P-S

Understand completely. My dad was a huge Flyers fan (grew up in Philly) and took me to the opening Caps franchise home game. Been in love with it ever since. You don't have to fall for it, but I would highly recommend getting a friend or 2 and going to one game at Verizon Center. Live hockey...

  6. World Cup 2014

I've had way too many discussions with folks about the excitement level of soccer, whether it will become America's "5th Sport". I love soccer, have since I started playing it 40 years ago. Still play, coach, and watch enthusiastically. If you like to watch, great, grab a seat and we'll watch...
  7. Tough Morning

Tomorrow (Tu, 8/23), I take my second grader to the bus stop for the first day of school this year. On Saturday, I take my oldest to Boston to join his Junior Hockey Team. Gonna be a rough couple of weeks on the home-front. Nice to be able to come here for the nice camaraderie.
  8. Joke of the Day

A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning at the third tee (par 3, 185 yards, slight dog leg to left, water hazard on the right) while a particularly slow group of golfers were flailing away ahead of them. Engineer: What's with these guys? We've been waiting for 15 minutes...
