Thanks and I just remembered the sites that search a database of companies

Another concern about raw eggs. Anyone ever seen these white blobs in their egg ? I swear, in all of my lifetime I don't ever recall seeing these. Until a few years ago. But since that time, I been seeing them on every single egg. My friend who lays eggs says it's a result of steroids. But the...

Any recommendations for an El Cheapo auto insurance ? Nothing deluxe. Just for minimum coverage on an older car of low value. Just 2 requirements : 1) Legally licensed to write an auto insurance policy 2) Cheap

I remember growing up, hearing the rumor that McDonald's used horsemeat in their burgers. So I went on, just believing or assuming that we have all had horse meat by now.

IMO, the best vocal performance by a drummer, ever. I know how difficult this dual feat is. It's one thing to sing like this. Then throw in the fact, a drummer uses all 4 limbs coordination-wise, compared to other musicians using 2 limbs. He really nails it starting at 1:30

Well, I suppose that's one way to get your body accustomed to the potential diet you may have to eat, if you're training for jungle survival !

Be careful with that street food. Even if the menu item has an exotic-sounding name in the local language, make sure it doesn't translate in English as "Monkabobs", or similar

RedWolf this reminds me of a similar "texturing/thickening challenge" to make a good Biscuits & Gravy. You ever whip up those ?

Gotcha. I guess I could say then, that the difficult part was the precision heating process, because it can easily get either too thick, or too thin

Thanks for the link. I am learning a lot. One of those sauces speaks of a roux, and I've made that for a homemade Cajun Seafood Gumbo. And I gotta say, a roux is a lot more difficult than it appears, with its mere 2 ingredients. The ratios and the process have to be done absolutely perfect, or...

I'm just a drummer, but I can see why Jimi Hendrix was quoted as saying this guy was the "greatest guitar player in the universe". Jimi went on to say in his own words, this young dude was better than JImi. I could listen and watch him play this, over and over.

Speaking of Hollandaise, Mayonaise is of course another "aise" with raw eggs. And I wonder if it's the distilled vinegar in it, that sanitizes the raw eggs. Or they probably just Zap the eggs with 10,000 Volts

  17. The Raw Egg thread

Decades ago I wouldn't have much issue with consuming raw, or virtually raw eggs. But the food & agriculture industry has changed so much since then, and knowing what I know now, I would feel unsettled about eating raw. Then I had this thought, "By now there must be a fancy hi-tech device to...

That's a great idea. I will have to check and see if they sell egg-beater versions of both the yolk and the whites. Because some recipes call for them to be separated and used raw.

That kinda tells us how insanely great that John Bonham was ; Once Bonham died, that instantly was the end of Zep, as well. How often do you hear of a band, especially a great one, dis-banding forever, for the sole reason that the drummer was lost ? I'm not sayin Bonham is or isn't better than...

Many years ago, when using raw eggs for a recipe, I read that you can flash-pasteurize them by dipping them into boiling water for like 20-30 seconds. I did that and never had a problem with me or anyone else getting sick that ate it. But now I'm reading on today's internet that doing that...
