The matte finish on the helmet was always one of the few things I kinda liked about any of the new stuff.
That said, they might move away from this shell when these alt's eventually become permanent, wouldn't surprise me.
I think, if what they've done today makes you happy, we're in for a lot more of this. I always thought our entire stable of classic looks could be retrofit to fly today.
In fairness, some of these are just sock variants, which it's neat to keep track of on the Gridiron Uniform Database, I don't actually think it should really count as a different uniform...
If you believe Sheehan (who is claiming a source, and as far as I know he is friendly with Mark Ein who I suppose would know) it's an alternate in 2025, then the primary in 2026.
I'd be surprised if he would put this out if he didn't have cause to believe it.

Entirely possible it's just the theme for the shoot and nothing more, but I think it works in a number of ways (a take on the spear uniform would be pretty cool, the color scheme fits better than pseudo-military, it works with "vintage" motifs pretty well which is good for a 90 year old...
If we go hit, hit on picks 1 and 2 of this class it feels like that would be massive for us considering the trade investment of draft capital this year and next. Good to hear about positive early returns.
