Agreed. Only time will tell if these players pan out, but considering the missing picks, you have to be happy. And the missing picks got us Tunsil.
Also we still have money to spend in free agency so the off-season is far from over. One of the available veteran corners seems like it would make...
Well, we’ve been hearing those rumors about McVay for a few years now. He’s so young though still so it seems a little crazy. Perhaps he just needs a change of scenery.
Maybe there is a world where he comes available in the next year or two and we just happen to have an opening 😁😁
I would guess the odds of getting a day one starter out of a third round WR pick are pretty low. Probably need more than a couple tries at it before you should expect to have hit on one. We should absolutely consider taking one at 71. Hopefully third times a charm.
Most likely Cleveland would have made the Fano pick at six if they couldn’t trade back. Styles was falling to us, and I think we still would’ve taken him even if Delane was there. Saints probably would’ve taken Tyson either way as well. I don’t think KC needed to make that trade.
I don’t think they were looking at Love at all at that point. It wasn’t until the hype train cranked up to full speed after the combine that they were even considering him. Also, Benson is coming off an injury so they wanted insurance.
I believe we have very little invested in said middle of...
My list for tonight….

Eli Sarratt WR
Malachi Fields WR

Domonique Orange DT

I’m torn about the receivers. Totally understand why a lot of you want to pass on them rather than take yet another stab at a mid round pick. But at...
Yeah, probably. Depends on what if anything was being offered. I’m guessing it wasn’t very much. But also could let him play out the contract and try to get another comp pick. Maybe we can get that comp pick next year if he has a good year and somebody signs him to a nice deal in free agency.
Yep, it’s scary. I can only take comfort in knowing that they had to lose some good players to get all those comp picks. Hopefully in a couple years we can get to the point where we have extra draft capital in our pocket to play with every year.
Yep. I’d like to be a fly on the wall when the Cardinals explain to Allgier that they just did the exact same thing to him that the Falcons did when they took Bijon. Just when he thought he was finally getting his chance at a featured role, the Cards pulled the rug right out from under him.
Yeah, I was big-time pushing for the Chase Young pick as well. Plenty of us were. Such a shame how it worked out. More proof that there’s no such thing as a can’t miss prospect.
Agree. And I think that’s exactly what it should have been. Tate maybe would move up because of need, but I think Peters was sticking to BPA, which to me is the right thing to do.
Hi all. Back from the bar. What a great first night of the draft!
We got a stud that most of us didn’t think had a chance to fall to us.
Giants missed out on love, and then inexplicably passed on downs.
Eagles selected a basket case that isn’t really a good fit for their QB
Cowboys did...
Haha I’m honored! I was a little sad, though, when I read that you thought Fields is overrated as far as contested catch. He may not be great at wrestling the ball away, but from what I saw he’s so damn tall he doesn’t always have to.
Better hold your breath when Cleveland is up at 6 😁
Do you think Tate is a better prospect than Delane? Or is this you factoring in need because it’s close? You may have mentioned once or twice that you are worried about the receiver room lol, but also you’ve done a pretty good job of selling...
