    You misunderstood my point, it seems... I wasn't trying to find blame for Haynesworth's attitude...I was trying to show how you could (if you wanted to) blame the cap space issues this year (and next) on the change to a 3-4 defense, knowing ahead of time it would (or seriously could) cause...

    No...because those contracts did not force Shanahan and Allen to make the decisions they did. And if anything, it's their decision to handle the contracts the way they did that lead to Goodell and Mara getting their panties in a bunch.
