Look at what we know to be legit up top compared to what they’re saying this is on the bottom. The spears don’t even match in style. Design DNA doesn’t match here at all.
I actually like the W logo, and I like the spear, but definitely not combined like that. The combination weakens them both. I don’t think this could possibly be real. If you compare that to the shield with the crossed spears behind it, this looks amateur hour.
What I'm excited about is I asked for the Camden Yards of NFL Stadiums. Essentially, a stadium that is fully integrated visually into the city it represents. We are getting that with RFK 2.0.
Your opinion is as valid as anybody else's.
Let me ask you this...
How will you feel about it if they fully return to the classic Redskins uniform design with the exception of the W logo?
What if we get a redesigned Black Uniform with a Spear Helmet as an alternative?
How would you feel...
And this is basically the heart of the entire issue. Snyder‘s inability to read the tea leaves and see which way the wind was blowing. We are fans who did not own the team. He was a supposed fan who did own the team. He failed in his responsibility to protect the brand when there was still...
I’ve said it before and I will say it again Snyder behaved like an emotional fan over this issue throughout his entire ownership tenure, instead of handling it the way a rational and logical businessman should have. I also say that as an emotional fan who wanted him to keep the name and logo...
The thing is though…and I hate to have to keep pointing this out but it’s important to note. In 2020 we could not “keep” the logo. Maybe in 2013 we could have, in 2016 maybe…but NOT in 2020. If we are going to have an honest discussion on this issue we must acknowledge that the situation had...
What shocked me at the time…and still does to some extent was how it was so “matter-of-fact” the day of. The sense I got was that they knew it wasn’t going to land. Maybe it wasn’t even their first choice… but maybe they didn’t really HAVE a choice? I tend to be a bit of an apologist for the...
Well, it appears we don’t have to wait too much longer for that to be set right my friend.
I really REALLY hope the uniforms they reveal on April 15 are universally praised. Kind of like the way the stadium renderings have been praised, so 90% or higher approval strictly of the new uniforms...
At one time he was a player, but this was a basic housekeeping rule that should’ve been caught by someone other than him.
The excuse they made at the time was that was how the championships are recorded in some kind of official NFL record, but the lion’s share of any championship gear the NFL...
I try to be even keeled when it comes to most of this stuff, but that one really did piss me off. Especially when one of the championship years you were claiming was your biggest rival’s third Super Bowl win.
1983, 1988, and 1992 being on the original crest was unforgivable.
