Not a good idea. They only do small areas, can cause serious damage to the underlying/surrounding grass, etc...and can crack poorly cured concrete. That, and with these cold temps the melted water will refreeze...

I love it!!! I enjoy smoking in the snow, as long as it isn't too windy.

Liquor, Beer, Wine & Cocktails.....What do you like & what are you drinking?

Ready for Burns Night, but we're having chili instead of haggis

I know, right? Drives me nuts when a 4lb roast takes as long as a 15lb packer. I can't tell the difference on the higher heat, but I only do a few a year so I only buy Prime so that might make a difference. I used to use Choice and would inject those, but don't bother with the Prime. Brisket...

Thanks. I'm assuming that it was probe tender at 195? I've done a handful of them just like brisket. A few of them turned out great, and a couple were a little dry, but not tough. I suppose it depends on the meat. Sometimes you just get one that's going to end up a little dry, no matter what...

Looks good! How long did it take to smoke at 225? What was the finish temp? I've had uneven results with Chuckies on the smoker.

It's going to be crazy expensive, so we'll cherry pick a home game, or two and focus on away games to cities that we've never visited..

I finally took the survey. Those prices are ridiculous. We're out.

I'll post what their asking when we get an official offer. We have good seats, (section 204 home side under cover even with the goal line), but everyone will be undercover in the new stadium. If it was "only" $2,000.00 per seat we might consider it. Might. The kick in the nuts is the lack of...

The Cap Centre was one of my favorite concert venues. Saw a shit-ton of concerts there in the 80's and the acoustics were pretty damn good...much better than the Civic Center in Baltimore.

I love it! The only downer, and it's a big one, is the lack of tailgating. Oh..and the PSL's. I spoke to our ticket rep, at length about the PSL's. I was surprised that he actually called because I fired off an email bitching about the latest price increase on our tickets. I told him that...

    What's for Dinner?

That's my favorite way to reheat BBQ. It's as close to "just off the smoker" flavor & texture as you can get. Props for the probe holder!

Baby Bok choy, rice & panko breaded shrimp. I did the rice in cooker with beef broth, a sesame oil, garlic powder & tossed in some partially defrosted peas & carrots near the end of the cooking cycle. The shrimp is from the frozen foods section at Costco...

    Finally! The Lunch Thread!

Breaking in the new knife...3 dozen Pocamoke oysters for.$25.00! They had PEI's,(my favorite),for $40.00 that are a little brinier than the Pocamokes, but more of a PITA to shuck. The shells are thin, kinda like Chincateauges...

The chicken tortilla soup, which is seasonal, is fantastic. The chicken noodle soup is good too and they make good iced tea. The sandwiches are okay, but don't hold a candle to Popeyes spicy chicken sandwiches.

Agreed and I'm painfully aware of that. Fun Fact: Years ago not too long after they opened, at the same Chick-Fil-A, she picked up be her order at the drive thru, they handed her balloons and shouted "You're our ten thousandth customer!" She got her meal for free, a gift card and a...
