Only thing I can come up with is an ultrasonic leak tester or a "smoke" test. I haven't looked at any of the videos. I've used a big ol stogie to smoke test in the past for both vacuum leaks, and pressure leaks, which is what you seem to have. Fuel system isn't holding pressure. Is it the...- Miles Monroe

"Freeze frame" data is just that. It will give you all the readings on the vehicle sensor, values and voltages for a second as a snap shot. Thinking about it, wouldn't a bed liner work ? You'd have to remove your flat patches, but you could use some strips of sheet metal riveted in the lower flat and upper flat areas of the deck letting a bed liner still conform properly while reinforcing the deck itself. Most shops don't like doing rust work. You need a buddy with a welder LOL If ya don't trust it mechanically, then walk away. I was lucky when I got my Tacoma, it only had 117K on it in 2017 when I picked it up. It's a 2005 and has 198K on it now with little to no real issues.... I expect it to...- Miles Monroe

If it's mechanically sound, fix the bed. They make all sorts of repair panels for truck beds. If it's the decking, that's a pretty simple fix, and extends the life of the truck for your limited use. If you did it yourself, it likely cost under 500.- Miles Monroe
