Prepare For The Looming Alien Invasion

Some could be closely tied to national security, and a current adversary. Maybe a massive alien Infiltration of the worlds population... something so scary that it could cause a world wide panic / crisis ? I started following the subject a bit more closely a few years ago. While it doesn't...

I agree to an extent, kind of case by case. My GP is actually a pulmonary specialist. He's 4 years younger than me, and anytime I bring up a subject I may have seen online about treatments or procedures, he has only once not already heard about it. He's so on top of it it's scary. He's retiring...

Something that been getting worse as time goes on.... retirement. My dentist of over 30 years retired... my GP will be retiring within a year and a half. Orthopedic surgeon I use retired... Hell, my buddy who's shop I've used since he opened, and have known for 40+ years retired and sold the...

What are the most "unconventional" meats that you have tried ?

Lots of rabbit... most don't know but it's one the healthiest meats, and also a staple of Italy. Random order.... Squirrel, racoon, Ostridge, gator, Venison, bison, wild hog, goat, mutton, tripe, and just about any seafood including sushi, but favorite is octopus. Iguana, goose, duck, Muscovy...

I had my yearly visit to the dermatologist today, clean as a whistle... 12 years. Also had my 6 month with my GP today. Labs and CT scan of my chest, and all but one number is great. PSA is still in the acceptable range, but it's slowly crept up over the past year and a half, soo we'll see a...

Great Movies That Others Might Enjoy, Or Ones To Avoid

A movie I didn't find mentioned is Green Book. What really does it for me, beyond why it won so many awards, it's old home. That's my old neighborhood, and they captured the early 60"s Bronx very well. Mortensen did an amazing job, and could easily pass for a family member. It's like watching...

Very little stress. My health is a hundred times better at 65 then at 50. Slow mornings, and no rush to get most anything done. But like I said earlier, it's more retirement that made the difference then age. I took my health far more seriously starting about 5 years ago while still working...

Dam, that's fantastic John. It was very bad years ago. Very close to Barrett's euphonous, with a hiatal hernia. Different meds for day and night. Now, If I have a minor episode twice a year, that's about it. Generally when I over indulged with food and drink... like the 28 oz porterhouse that...

Beer and wine put me to sleep... 2 beers, or a half carafe of red wine, and I'm done. Thankfully no headache as long as I keep it to a Porter or Stout, and red wine. If I'm awake a half hour after I get home from dining out, it's a miracle. I don't drink often, it's just a the right choice for...

Something to remember this time around... it's more then NASA funding it. There's a lot to gain by companies that can get their system / product on the moon. That's a lot of R&D NASA isn't laying out for, and that's the biggest drain on the program in my opinion. With multiple companies working...

I think part of it is trying to get the public behind it. Just like in the past, there are many who feel we shouldn't be spending the money on space exploration.

The fun part about spraying red paint is, I never know if the red spots on the floor are paint or blood, and then trying to scrub some off of your finger only to find it's a blood blister....

Meh... 50 or 60, really didn't make a big difference for me. What made the biggest change was semi, and then complete retirement. Everything changed as the stress lessened. Chronic pain has slowly gotten better or gone completely in some instances. Still have some stress, but with it not being...

Ya, been thinking once they have things rolling to go over to catch a launch. I did get to see a shuttle go up from about 20 miles away once.... very cool. Watched a lot of shuttles go up from home, across the state back in the day.
