  1. DRAFT DAY (3)

Kony Ealy was a first round pick on most of the mocks I saw and he's very good at penetrating the O-Line. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with either him or Hageman if we don't trade down. And while I'm a big Notre Dame fan, I would take OT before either Nix or Tuitt. Also, not enamored...
  2. Burner's Burning Questions: The Mock Drafts, 2014 (Continual Updates)

Well BB, it certainly appears after all is said and done that you are strongly on the O-Line Bandwagon. The latest has us with 2 2nd round picks and two 3rd round picks and, of those four picks, three are Offensive Linemen. Is this really how you THINK our FO will draft or how you WANT our FO...
  3. Tanard Jackson to be reinstated 5/6/2014

Contract verbiage perhaps? I'm thinking void clauses where they either don't have to pay him money and/or he has to return money if he gets in trouble again. Perhaps there are also escalators for good behavior, model citizenry and the like. Looks like he also gets a raise from 700K to the vet...
  4. Tanard Jackson to be reinstated 5/6/2014

Interesting. Allen said he was in play pending his physical and interview with the coaches. I wonder if he failed a conditioning test or some other evaluation. I don't see how it could be the money.
  5. Burner's Burning Questions: The Mock Drafts, 2014 (Continual Updates)

This pick would actually make a lot of sense. Bitonio didn't allow a sack to Anthony Barr OR Demarcus Lawrence and, besides RT, he could also play G. I would actually prefer him or Ja'Wuan James to Moses or Kouandjio.
  6. What Position Do the Redskins Draft at #34?

With a draft as seemingly deep as this one, I think the draft pick trade chart goes out the window. I really don't think we would get the value we normally would should we trade down. I also think we'd have to give up something like a fourth rounder, in addition to Cousins, if we wanted...
  7. The Name Change

Harry Reid, Harry Reems.......same thing. They both try to **** people! :chargrined:
  8. Burner's Burning Questions: The Mock Drafts, 2014 (Continual Updates)

BB, I read an article about how Justin Ellis LOVES playing NT. He's the anti-Haynesworth and I'd really like to see what he could do along our D-Line. Your last two mocks look really good although I still cringe a bit when I see Morgan Moses at #34. While I still like the bookends from...
  9. Burner's Burning Questions: The Mock Drafts, 2014 (Continual Updates)

Started playing around with the draft simulator again this year. Had a blast with it last year even though I'm pretty sure the only guys I got right were Phillip Thomas and Bacarri Rambo. First-Pick.com Here's what I came up with on my 2nd try. I could live with this draft. I managed to...
  10. Burner's Burning Questions: The Mock Drafts, 2014 (Continual Updates)

Barring injury, I'm not convinced ANYONE we take at #34 will start. I'm thinking the idea will be to take a guy who can at least be a major contributor. Where have you read anything that leans to G or FS? The latest I've seen and heard, especially from John Keim, points to somebody to rush...
  11. What Position Do the Redskins Draft at #34?

Ry, I certainly can't fault you or anyone else for wanting our FO to draft OL early and often, especially when you use logic. :smile2: Personally, I just don't think we grab one at #34. Unless we trade down and garner more picks, I really think our 2nd rounder will be a Defensive player. I...
  12. What Position Do the Redskins Draft at #34?

When we say BPA, how does OUR definition match up to that of the FO? As far as the FO is concerned, BPA might very well be the guy who has a high grade, fills a need AND is considered by the coaching staff to be a good fit. While we always say we want a coaching staff that "adapts" to the...
  13. What Position Do the Redskins Draft at #34?

It's the 2nd pick of Day 2. Unless someone has slipped that the FO REALLY, REALLY wants, I expect they'll be entertaining offers to trade down and THAT would be my preference. While I understand the desire for a RT, I don't see anyone available at #34 that could easily jump in and start from...
  14. Burner's Burning Questions: The Mock Drafts, 2014 (Continual Updates)

The list of prospects the Skins have met with is GREAT info! Thanks, BB!
  15. Draft Is Wide Open

I'm not a real big fan of Cyrus Kouandjio. While I have no doubt he'd be an effective run blocker, his footwork is spotty, he doesn't slide real well from the film/highlights I've seen and he also has injury concerns. I'm also not real high on Morgan Moses, especially after watching his tape...
  16. Draft Is Wide Open

While I would tend to agree BD, I also wouldn't be surprised if Garcon is the ONLY receiver retained from last year's team. If it were me, I'm looking Defense or O-Line but Gruden/Allen just might treat the draft like the zombie apocalypse and stockpile weapons.

  18. Redskins Sign QB Colt McCoy

    50 Ways to Leave/Love Your QB? :P
  19. Redskins Sign QB Colt McCoy

The FO likely hedging their bet "just in case" an offer comes in for Captain Kirk. Worst case scenario, we have a decent 3rd string QB as I'm sure he'll be competing against a UDFA. Pretty good move.
  20. Burner's Burning Questions: Offseason Edition, Free Agency 2014

So Colt McCoy is replacing "The Sexy". I actually like this. Instead of drafting a #3 QB, we can have Colt compete with a UDFA for that spot in camp. Well done, Bruce!
