I'm right there with you. I know some people are off the Peters bandwagon, but he was there with SF when they drafted him. You have a point here, although one major difference is that pretty much all of those #1 WRs are considerably younger than McLaurin. He's going on 31. So depth is one issue, but urgency to replace an aging player is also a part of the equation.- Discobob

I was assuming any real punishment for those issues would be pushed off to the future based on past issues (see Rashee Rice, et al.) - but point taken... we would have to be confident that he'd be available for the first 1/2 the season for my suggestion to make sense.- Discobob
